A truly special stay – we felt like home! We stayed at Sami’s place for 3.5 weeks and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and safe. Sami is one of the kindest and most genuine people we’ve met during our travels. No matter what the issue was – he was always quick to help and never let us feel like we were on our own. That’s what truly made our stay so special. A big thank you also to Sami‘s lovely family – their hospitality and friendly nature made our time even more enjoyable. The room is perfect – very clean, well-equipped, and the price is very fair. The pool is amazing and the lounge area is super comfy – perfect for couples, two friends traveling together, or solo travelers. Breakfast is great – and please, try the banana pancakes – they’re the best we’ve ever had! 😍 We also read in some reviews that the location is a bit remote, but in our opinion, it really isn’t. With a scooter, you’re in the city center of Ubud in 15–20 minutes. And being slightly outside also means you get to see some beautiful and quieter corners of the area. We always felt completely safe and truly welcome – it felt like a home away from home. Little tip for other travelers: If you’re into good coffee and/or tattoos, go down the street to “Crocoffee” – amazing coffee and super friendly people. We got 4 tattoos done there in total (including a full sleeve!) for a very good price and great quality. Also check out BeautyByKris for cosmetic treatments and Sesari Spa for a really relaxing and professional massage. Another bonus: if you don’t feel like going out to eat every night, you can use Sami’s kitchen in the afternoon to cook your own meals – super convenient! All in all, we’re incredibly grateful for this stay and will 100% come back. Thank you, Sami – you made this feel like home.

The bathroom could use a little renovation, but honestly, that didn’t bother us at all. This is just something for picky people to consider – for us, everything else made up for it a hundred times over.

Good place to stay! The owner Sami and his family is very accommodating. Ask him what you want/need like restaurants, spa, laundry and etc. he will tell you a good place. The breakfast is great too 😊

Nothing to complain about.

The owner is great, super friendly and caring. The breakfast was awesome: you can choose between omelette, scrambled egg and delicious pancake 🥞 The location is not the best because you are out of the center of Ubud, but you can rent a scooter and then it's only few minutes away plus there are also small restaurants in the area.

Everything , Sami and family were just so welcoming and warm. Such a lovely stay wish I could had stayed longer. The breakfast was absolutely yummo.

What a delightful stay! So impressed and happy with our time at Casa D'Sami. Welcomed so warmly by Sami and his family from the minute we arrived. The location is about a 15 minute bike ride from the centre of Ubud which we thought was perfect, lovely and peaceful but within a good distance of the main attractions. Delicious breakfast every morning with good variety and unlimited tea, coffee and water available. We even came back from our Mt Batur hike a little after breakfast had ended and we were still able to have some, very kind. The room was very comfortable and clean and a great size, good water temperature and pressure in the shower too. Bed was made and bin changed daily if needed and we had laundry done too which was easy and quickly done. We also rented a great bike for a very good rate during our stay. I honestly cannot recommend enough, we wanted to stay another night but they were fully booked - easy to see why!

- We slept in room 2 and the ceiling was covered in mold.. It would be best if they clean this before renting the room out again. - The location is far from the centre (we didn’t mind though, since this was just a layover for us)

The place has a nice pool to chill out and there’s access to the kitchen with coffee and tea unlimited and free.

It was very cozy and relaxing

Small and cozy. I loved the communal breakfast table where you get to interact with other guests. And with Sami of course who gladly informs you about life and culture, as well as practical stuff.

Arill and Samy are cooking your breakfast every morning the best omelette in Ubud, but also other choice and very good communication skills They taking care of their guest and try to make you feel comfortable We recommend the place for anyone wants an affordable and comfy place to stay around ubud Suksama !

I loved everything during this stay ! better than I expected, hoped we could stay more days... Host Sami and Aril were so nice and made us feel like family, Sami helped us get a driver to pick us up from airport to the property, and rent a motorbike. And Aril made breakfast for us most of the days with good ambience and tips to visit places around Rooms were very spacious and clean, calm and the view on the garden with the pool is so relaxing. Defenitly coming back here next time I visit Bali !

Loved the ambience, the property looks stunning. I woke up with the birds chirping and the crowing of the rooster it was a wonderful feeling. Sami is a very good and helpful host and even his staff was kind and responsible.

The basic room amenities should be kept inside the room like hand washing soap. A television inside the room could be more entertaining. Also, the property is located inside, only a bike can go in, cars cannot. If you are unaware about the street or miss the board then you can land up in the wrong location which I did once.

Breakfast was lovely. Room was spacious and clean. Pool and kitchen was also clean. Manger was lovely and can help book tours. We got grab as its outside of ubud and not many places to eat beside the accomdation but that didnt bother us. We rented scooters off the accomdation. Everyone was very friendly and helpful

We have been travelling for a month now and this was one of the best places we’ve stayed in, not only were the facilities great but the family who owned the property made it 10/10. They were so unbelievably friendly and would do anything to make your stay even better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and a perfect start to the day. Could not recommend this place more, thank you so much to Sami and his family for everything!!

Perfect Balinese guest house with friendly family and comfortable room, in perfect location for me, just a few minutes by scooter to the centre of Ubud, in a quiet location. WiFi was fast, shower was hot, room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The vest feature are the hosts and I look forward to returning there again soon.

So great price for what you get. Nice size room with a big bathroom in a really quiet place, and on top of all, you get a delicious breakfast. The owner was so friendly and took care of all his guests. We had an amazing stay.

The bathroom could be cleaned better, and the size of the bed should be corrected as it's not an extra large bed.

Sami and his family were very nice people. The accommodation was clean, and cleaned daily. Breakfast was so nice and they were accommodating with times to provide it.

If you are a late sleeper, the rooster will wake you. No soap was provided 😔

The host was really sweet and made us breakfast as per our timings even though it was inconvenient for him. He insisted on making us breakfast everyday.

I liked EVERYTHING. from the bedroom, to the breakfast, to the pull and the position. but specially the owner, SAMI <3 Sami is a wonderful person. As well as his whole family. Together they run this wonderful guesthouse. It's not in the busy center of Ubud (which is good), but 10 minutes by scooter you can reach everything. Every morning her wife cleans and tidies up the room, and with her daughter they prepare a delicious breakfast. I would recommend this place a thousand times. Sami loves his work and really does things with his heart. If you want to feel like a family, discover true Balinese culture, and have excellent value for money, I suggest you come here. I will surely come back :)
