Penzion Pod Rozhlednou

This is a must stay for you if you want the full village experience. The house is beautiful. You get one room with a private bathroom (toilet and shower cabin). The room has a big, comfortable bed and is beautifully decorated. The room itself is not very big. Everything around is so green. The woods are beautiful. We came here on the first week of October. It is drizzling in the whole area all the time, but don't worry if you plan to hike - we also hiked and the woods actually protect you from the rain. We hiked with a short sleeve and a jacket and had a coat for when we were not hiking. In the cabin, it's really warm. Random tip - the best and most beautiful and magical hike we did was bastei bridge. The hostess was amazing. So kind! We are very grateful for her hospitality. She speaks only Czech and German - no English, but made a huge effort to try understanding us and asked her sons to help over the phone. She makes a different warm breakfast every day, along with other more common breakfast stuff like granola, yogurt, hams, cheese, bread, etc. The meals were all delicious. There are also two very friendly cats and the hostess makes soaps. The place has a parking in the yard. You might need to step on some mud to open the wooden gate.

One thing to point out about the area in general - that these are woods with small villages scattered around. The closest town is Decin. 18:30, it starts getting dark, and at seven, it's pitch black. There is also nothing to do around in the evening. So, plan to get back at early. An amazing thing about the darkness - You will sleep incredibly. Another thing just to be aware of - the house doesn't have an elevator, so you will need to get your suitcases up the stairs. It's not a huge issue, but just so you know. About the cats - they are used to getting in and out of the house. If you want to open the window at night, notice that it opens both to the side and from above. You will want to open the above option to prevent Albert the cat from joining you in bed.

Delicious breakfast, clean rooms, lovely cats, nice and calm neighbourhood. Pension is owned by very lovely lady. Nice location with easy access to Hrensko. Breakfasts were delicious and varied

Właścicielka to bardzo kontaktowa i ciepła osoba, można było się dzięki temu poczuć jak w domu, albo przynajmniej jak na wakacjach u dobrej cioci. Co prawda nie mówiła w żadnym innym jezyku poza czeskim, ale bariery językowej nie było praktycznie zadnej. Dbała o nas pod każdym kątem pytając- "czy wszystko w porządku u nas?", "Czy chcemy sobie zrobić dodatkowo kanapki na później?". Pokoje czyste, bardzo zadbane, śniadanka pyszne i odmienne na każdy dzień.

Jedynym dla mnie minusem było to, że w pokoju było strasznie gorąco i nie dało się w nocy spać spokojnie, przydałaby się może klimatyzacja w bardzo upalne dni. Telewizor w pokoju mógłby być na późne wieczory, ale bez niego też było w porządku.
