Hotel Kotva

Staying at Hotel Kotva was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had staying at a hotel. We were worried about parking, but called ahead and they made sure they would have a spot for us. Upon arrival, the lady who runs the hotel could have been nicer. We were 3 adults and 2 kids, and the top apartment was more than enough space for us all to feel comfortable. We had not planned on eating breakfast there, but after seeing the spread that the lady produced we decided to eat there. It was wonderful, and just what we needed before a long day of hiking 26km. The hotel went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of, truly amazing.

Nothing, our stay could not have been better.

Located in the centre of the town; which itself has some charming elements but is now overrun with tourist-traps. The hotel looked recently renovated; clean, quiet, comfortable, but the inside was lacking any real personality (as opposed to how quaint the outside looked). Staff was friendly and helpful. Pet friendly. Great as a stop-over for the Hrebenovka trail, but the town itself is not worth spending more than an hour in.

Breakfast wasn't great. Limited healthy options; little vegetables or anything with some fiber in it.

The property had a pretty cool location above a river.

The linens had a musty smell and the bath tub leaked and messed up the whole bathroom which you then had to mop unless you wanted to tread on water
