Commanderie Cottage Colmar

Fantastic location. Set back a little from the street so we weren't disturbed by street noise but still felt like we were in the heart of it all. It has character but also the mod cons needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Though we didnt have a car with us, it is very useful to have a private parking space available in that part of the town Pauline is a wonderful host, sharing lots of local information and making everything as comfortable and homely as possible.

no aircon but due to the age and character of the building it is not possible. But a fan is provided and kept the blinds closed during the day and with a fridge freezer, we could keep a stock of cold drinks and ice

If I could, I would give it more than 10 stars. The biggest plus is the host - Pauline is very friendly and an amazing host. She waited for us with the keys, explained everything about the aparment & also gave us very good recommendations. I needed to get a medicine on Sunday and she helped us find the pharmacy that was working. The apartment itself is as seen in the photos - very cosy and perfect for 2 people. It has all needed amenities for a good stay. The shower is just renovated so it's new. The apartment doesn't have an AC as the buiding is historical but that was not an issue. We visited during a heat wave with temperatures of 32 degrees during the day and the apartment was cool enough. The location is perfect - the historical old town is minutes away and the walk to the train station is only 15 mins. There are very good restaurants, shops and bakeries nearby ( Pauline gives very good recommendatons). The apartment is in a building with a garden so it's not right on the street which was an advantage as it was very quiet during the night. It also has a parking spot in the building garage so that is very rare for this part of Colmar. We enjoyed our stay very much and we hope to be back there again soon!

El dpto de Pauline, era como ella, excepcional, no tenemos, mas que agradecimientos hacia ella, una persona excepcional. El dpto, esta en una ubicacion excepcional, y no le falta absolutamente nada, todo funciona perfecto, y tiene cochera en el subsuelo, que es excepcional GRACIAS
