Really lovely, great hot tub & amazing views

We stayed in apartment 1 which has the best view in my opinion, watching the morning break over Berchtesgaden ahead of our hike was very tranquil. We loved using the hot tub & sauna, and the honestly fridge was great for immediate cold drinks too. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was good, and the loaf of bread provided was delicious.

It was a 30 min walk into town downhill, either on slippery forest paths or on the side of the road. I knew that when we booked and it didn’t bother us. Instead of walking up hill, we booked a 15 euro taxi back from dinner.

Would love to stay here again!

Everything! The view was amazing, the facilities were updated and comfortable, kitchen was complete, our hostess was kind and attentive bringing us fresh baked bread and answering our questions. We went with another couple and although there was one full bath, there was also a half bath which we were unaware us! The half bath was a lifesaver and very convenient. We mostly enjoyed our breakfast on the patio facing the gorgeous views!

The only inconvenience is the accessibility of the property. You either need to have a car or pay for taxi to get you up and down to and from the town. But then again, the amazing view is worth the cost of renting a car or paying for taxi!

Amazing stay with great views

The views at the Salzbergalm exceeded our expectations, with great views of the mountains and into the valley with Berchtesgaden town. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the amenities like the sauna and hot tub were amazing!

Even though its pretty close to town, because its a bit of a drive up the hill and walking to and from the car, it would have been really great if the hotel provided some breakfast options and laundry.

Comfortable Bavarian hotel nestled in the hills above Berchtesgaden

beautiful property with absolutely incredible views from our own private balcony. There was also a fridge in the lobby with beverages (including beers) for guests, and a great outdoor hot tub to enjoy

We had an amazing stay! The view from the room was beautiful and we enjoyed the jacuzzi after our hiking tours. The room is nicely decorated and you can find everything in the kitchen for cooking. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family!

The apartment located on the hill with spectacular views to Berchtesgaden! We lived in the appartment with terrace. The rooms are spacious, clean, with comfy beds. Nice kitchen with everything you may need. Large bathroom and 2 toilets. Very nice patio with table and chairs. We also used amassing, warm and really clean jacuzzi. The breakfast was delicious and with many options.

Unkompliziert, sauber, super nett! Es war ein super schönes Apartment mit allem was man braucht. Die Aussicht war der hammer und das selbstgebackene Brot auf dem Zimmer sehr, sehr nett! Pool, Sauna und Außendusche super - die komplette Außenanlage wirklich super gepflegt und toll nutzbar. Durch und durch empfehlenswert!

Mooi appartement, geweldig uitzicht Heel comfortabel en ruim appartement. Het uitzicht is super. Het is een klein beetje zoeken boven op de Alm naar de ingang maar het is goed gekomen. Bubbelbad met uitzicht ook een mooie plus. Aanrader!

Ein idyllischer Ort zum Abschalten 10 von 10 .

Der Eigentümer war sehr gastfreundlich . Die Ausstattung und die Lage waren außergewöhnlich und haben in vollen Zügen zur Entspannung beigetragen . Auch ohne Auto ist mit der Gondel alles super erreichbar . Gerne wieder !
