Agriturismo I Trulli Di Zio Dino

The location was lovely and quiet. We actually slept inside a trulli, which was very special. It obviously meant that there was no window, but the door had a glass part and, when opened, a fly screen. The bathroom was as clean as the rest of the place, but the shower very small. This caused a flood when showering, which could be cleared away by using the floor squidgy provided. The drainage in the shower tray was incredibly poor, resulting in standing water. The floor tiles are very cold, bring slippers or socks. The radiator was warm in the evenings, but the room still chilly (end of April). The bed consisted of two mattresses, which were very soft and would bend up. As nice as it is to know that the long deceased great grandparents slept there, a firmer bed would have made for a better night's sleep. Breakfast was included, but very basic, consisting of dried biscuits and jam. On the 3rd morning, these were softer and sweeter. Unfortunately, they did not provide dinner. Lunch was offered at 1pm, but that is not convenient when we're out exploring all day. We ate out in Cisternino instead, sampling some bombettes. The people were delightful. Giuseppe translated everything via his phone, his mother spoke enthusiastically in Italian to us anyway and the young "chaca chaca" woman tried to speak English as much as possible. We were made to feel very welcome. Thank you very much.
