Upton Lakes Lodges

Location, view, quiet, hot tub, layout of the lodge. Well equipped.

Could have been cleaned a bit better, hot tub not so clean, not sure the water was changed between guests. WiFi was poor. Lots of flies, red mark (blood?) on a sheet. Difficult to get into property on first day as instructions were incomplete. Access track is very potholed , drive slowly, Has wood fired sauna but no wood provided. All outside plants in tubs were dead (not watered). Showers were OK if used one at a time.

Fantastic property in a peaceful location with hot tub and spa.

Because it was remote evenings were a struggle as there wasn’t a decent enough tv reception to watch tv or WiFi signal so we went out and brought a dvd to play only to realise when we got back there was no scary socket so that was a waste of time and money. Eventually we left early to save sitting bored at night then having to get up and go home.

We loved how cozy and homely our Lodge was. Our 4 days/nights there were exceptionally comfortable. There are 2 outdoor decks to provide space to sit out and enjoy the beautiful country setting.

The check-out time of 9am is understandable but earlier than usual check-out times.

Sheets were of good quality

Property looked tired and out dated.Basic items missing in kitchen ie corkscrew and glass wine glasses.No information pack.limited WiFi. Main bathroom needs a new toilet brush!
