Breakfast was lovely. So many monkeys to watch

What a heaven to stay in! The staff went above and beyond to help us at all times. On two occasions when a lizard entered the villa, the staff arrived within 30 seconds and handled it immediately. The villa offers heavenly views from every angle, and our kids absolutely loved watching monkeys outside the windows. Although we couldn’t fully use the private pool due to the risk of monkeys taking the floaties, it wasn’t an issue at all. The rest of our stay was truly amazing and unforgettable. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends in Australia. A big thank you to the wonderful staff once again.
Nothing that I didn’t like

They gave me an upgrade to the Dream room which is on the 2nd floor. The room is very spacious from floor to ceiling. Colored windows. Pink drapes over the bed. Large daybed on the first floor. I like the design. Very homey, very bohemian
The door to the toilet feels like it wants to trap you in maybe because of the hinges.

Nothing serious to mention

Bali Bohemia, the staff, the feeling, the restaurant, music, magic feels like coming home each time I visit.
I truly special place.

Great location and so cool to have monkeys everywhere! Rooms were so full of art and cool details. Bathroom was great and nice to have a private pool. Would be good for a longer stay, as it has a kitchen. Really cool vibe. Comfy beds and staff were nice. Restaurant is yummy and nice and healthy.

I liked the staff how helpful were they.. the food was amazing , the bohemian style and the events they are holding in the place .. the nature is unique and like fantasy .. also the rooms designed and colors is amazing
The hygiene and cleaning was really not as the expected level.. the furniture is very dirty .. they can do better than this, the daily cleaning of the room was not quite professional, the furniture also is old and not maintained enough so it was creating noise all the time with any movement

Very pretty place to stay, clean and tidy with a nice breakfast in the front cafe. Main pool and villa pool were lovely and staff were mostly helpful.
The monkeys! You are literally backed onto the monkey Forrest and there as so many! From the moment we were shown our 2 room villa there was already multiple in our back pool area that wouldn’t leave until the staff came with a broom. We were given slingshots in each area to pretend to shoot them if they came too close but this seemed to make them angrier. I stayed with my 2 daughters and they refused to sleep in the top level as to get downstairs you had to walk outside to go down the stairs. Not suitable for young children so they slept with me. We tried to change rooms but they were full. And didn’t seem to have any other suggestions to keep the monkeys away. Instead tried to charge an extra $20 for a bed downstairs for my children. They ended up sleeping with me. Morning was much better, only one monkey so we were able to swim. Aircon also wasn’t working in upstairs area.

A beautiful hotel, situated right outside the Sacred monkey forest.
The hotel itself was lovely, very nice, interesting decor, and furnished tastefully.
The staff were absolutely great, very friendly, and willing to help with all enquiries.
The attached restaurant serves tasty food, at a reasonable price, and comes highly recommended.
My accommodation was the Jungle hut, slightly away from the hotel, and next door to the restaurant.
The presentation was very nice, in keeping with the rest of the hotel, but.... You have many "ventilation holes" above the door, around windows, and between the walls and the roof. So in the evenings when you use the lights, you are joined by many flying critters.
You also have a monkey wake up call at around 6am, as groups of monkeys clamber around all the surrounding tin roofs 😅

The size of the lotus villa was fantastic. Loved the frequent visits from the monkeys and our own private pool.
Surrounding restaurants on the more expensive side. However Bali Bohemia restaurant serves great food at a reasonable price

Loved Bali Bohemia! I would be back here in a heartbeat! Love the decor and boho style, bright colours and it’s such a good location but peacefully quiet!
Would have loved a massage / spa here would have been perfect!

Location was very good
The vibe of the rooms are nice
Staff very helpful
There was a mildew/moldy smell in the room. The shower and the wall around it especially seemed very mouldy. Some of the furniture was dirty, same for the bedsheets and towels. The spoons they left for the coffee still had coffee on it. Overall, our stay was okay, apart from the unbearable smell of mold and mildew. Also, expect to see and hear lots of insects and animals during the day and night.

The rooms are comfortable and funky with hand-painted art and details. Mosquito netting for the bed, but the bugs actually weren't too bad. There were plenty of good eateries nearby. It was very special to stay so close to the Sacred Monkey Forest!

Quirky room
Lovely staff
Felt safe and secure
In a beautiful part of Ubud, easy walking distance to Ubud central but lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle
Right on the edge of Monkey forest on a beautiful quiet street, with lots of great places for coffee and food. Lovely to walk down without all the noise that comes with busier areas.
Great open mic night in a Thursday, other nights are very quiet.
Nice speaker!
Great a/c and fan
Comfortable bed and net.
Small but peaceful clean pool, heated by the sun so beautiful on a hot day!
I have given this feedback directly to the hotel already.
Better attention needs to be paid to housekeeping, more maintenance needed - curtains need repairing/cleaning as do windows.
The bohemian style lends itself to being a bit shabby which means it needs a bit more focus to get rid of dust.
Location - which I lived for the quietness takes ages to get to by car/bike because of traffic from central Ubud.

The most incredible start to our holiday. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the monkeys. You can sit with breakfast and watch them play around on the wall opposite. The staff in the hotel were so welcoming and gave us tips on the area. The pool area is beautiful, lovely and peaceful as it's only a small hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Walk 2 mins out the hotel and you have restaurants and shops but again very peaceful area, not your usual busy tourist area. Easy to shop without being harassed.

Nice staff.
The linen was dirty, so we asked for a replacement, the news towels were dirty as well. Not clean in the room with dust a lot of places and it seemed the floor had not been washed for ages, also a very dark room. The blinds didn’t cover the windows fully, so standing in the shower people could easily look in if they were walking by. The walking path beside monkey forest was closed so location was not ideal for going into the city.

There were many problems with this hotel.
Make sure you read the fine print with this hotel as you could be booking a room that does not have the view that the other rooms have.
Instead my room was facing the street and I was harassed by monkeys constantly.
Then when I went to have a shower the hot water lasted for 1 minute and then the water was cold. No one goes on vacation to have a cold shower. Then I noticed the water was not draining and there was water all over the floor in the bathroom. I looked at the drain and had to remove a GIANT clump of someone else's human hair from the drain..absolutely disgusting! I told the hotel and they didn't seem to care at all. My room had a 'kitchen' yet there was not 1 pot or pan in the cupboards. Every time I went to eat at the Bali Bohemia restaurant and placed my order they would say they were out of ingredients. One day they didn't have avocados and the next day they didn't have any berries. The last night I was there they had an open mic night that had music blaring until 12am! I did not sleep. It was like trying to sleep right outside of a night club! Terrible!
I will never return nor will I recommend

This is one of the most beautiful places, the rooms and styling are stunning, it was very fun at night in the Bali Bohemia bar as well. You can see monkeys without going to the forest. Staff were lovely too.
Sometimes a little out of the way if you want to explore Ubud city centre but not too far out of the way.

Great place right next to Monkey Forest with beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Large room and really nice lay out.
The room I stayed in was very close to the restaurant/bar so on nights when they have music it is very loud in your room.

It’s nice but don’t stay here on a Saturday or thurs night. Music till 12 at night and early morning wake up at 3 am ubud talking on microphone festival. A bit overpriced for a bad sleep. Pretty. Comfy bed. Rooms are nice up the top. Good for a party head! Staff are lovely.
Noisy. No sleep. Might be ok if not thurs or sat night. Location bad if ya wanna walk to ubud shops through scary busy alley way. Monkeys and motorbikes. I paid way too much to not sleep here on a sat night.

Whilst breakfast wasn’t included there was plenty of available yummy options within easy walking distance. We had a kitchen in our room so we made our own coffee and sat on the beautiful verandah each morning.
There was nothing not to like, I have stayed here more than once.

Beautiful grounds next to the monkey forest and easy access into town with fabulous individually decorated rooms. Extremely comfortable bed and very good Aircon and spacious bathroom with tea/coffee making facilities…. Friendly and helpful staff.
The restaurant attached was really good too
The only thing I found an issue was my room seemed quite dark regardless of how many lights I had on

Love the decoration, furniture, bathroom, porch and pool. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was amazing, great restaurants, spas and, of course, the monkey Forrest. I’ll be back as soon as I can💗
If I’m being fussy the water pressure could be stronger and the drains could be more efficient. Certainly no a problem for me!

The setting of Bali Bohemia is just gorgeous. Gardens are delightful and meticulously kept. Room had so much charm, and monkeys on the property! Delightful!

Very nice decoration, huge rooms and bathroom and great private swimming pool !
Many facilities are quite outdated, but it was not a problem at all.

Exactly as its name. Very bohemian Bali and there’s huts! We stayed in a hut, room around the pool and jungle room and all were comfortable, nice and clean. Just watch out for the monkeys!
8.0 / 10.0
Very spacious and original design. Loved the private pool, much bigger than expected. The bathroom was great. Kitchen with a large fridge.
Controversial: We enjoyed the monkeys visiting us in the afternoon.
Especially the textiles can be cleaner. Bathtube more decorative than useful. No in-room water dispenser. Restaurant is average.

We loved the property with the pool , the closeness to nature , the quirky decor . The location with the inquisitive monkeys gave us a good feeling to our Ubud experience . Definitely lives up to its name .

I loved all the colors and how uniquely each room was decorated. I also loved the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful! Several called me by my name. The food was delicious and well-prepared. (The chicken fell off the bones!) The juices and smoothies had such great combinations of ingredients. The Open Mic night was so lively and fun! The grounds were beautiful and lush.
The location would be better with less motorbike traffic for more quiet and ease of walking.
It would have been nice to have more food options without gluten.
Thinner pillows! All of the pillows were too puffy! I slept with a towel under my head instead.
