Located directly next to the monkey Forrest but far enough away from the very hectic main road. We had the 2 bed lotus villa with our own garden and pool. One bedroom upstairs by the kitchen area. The other bedroom downstairs completely separated. Monkeys would hang out during the day so you had to be vigilant keeping windows and doors shut which made the upstairs kitchen and eating area really hot. There is really good air conditioning downstairs and over the bed upstairs, the wifi was strong and pretty consistent. The decor and furnishings are pretty wild, very 90s boho. The restaurant is directly under the upstairs kitchen/eating area so pretty noisy but it did close at 11pm. The staff were lovely and the restaurant had delicious and great value food and drinks, they also offered room service from the restaurant ordered from reception. There was complimentary filtered water available 24/7 to refill your bottles. There is a short cut path to monkey Forrest road which is really handy, extremely dark at night but torches are provided.

It would have been nice to eat upstairs all together or play cards there at night with the big table, but it was just too hot and stuffy. The kitchen could do with a few more amenities and a regular sized fridge. ( although there was a drinks fridge downstairs as well)

There was a mildew/moldy smell in the room. The shower and the wall around it especially seemed very mouldy. Some of the furniture was dirty, same for the bedsheets and towels. The spoons they left for the coffee still had coffee on it. Overall, our stay was okay, apart from the unbearable smell of mold and mildew. Also, expect to see and hear lots of insects and animals during the day and night.
