The recycling and waste was very confusing and tedious.

Tyddyn Bach Barn offers a delightful rural retreat with the perfect blend of tranquil surroundings, comfortable amenities, and excellent hospitality. The location is ideal—peaceful and scenic, yet just a short walk into Betws-y-Coed. The barn is cozy and well-equipped, providing everything needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts were warm and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. It's excellent for exploring Snowdonia and returning to a comfortable, inviting home base.

Wonderful little cottage/ barn conversion. Had an amazing stay in there. Will deffo be booking again in the future. Lovely location relaxing sitting outside in the evening
Only thing could make better is the fridge. Nothing on the door to stop things falling every time you open the fridge door. Other than that a☆

A comfortable stay, in wonderful surroundings with plenty of parking space.
The property was chosen principally because it was away from the madding crowd of Betws-y-Coed but a short walk over a pedestrian bridge into the centre (to access food, meals, drinks etc). Sadly the bridge and accompanying footpath were closed down (due to structural issues?). Clearly this was not the fault of the property owner, but other like-minded clients might care to take this into consideration.

Locations perfect except for the bridge being closed which isn’t their fault.
Cows come near the property at night and can be loud (we live on a cattle farm so are used to cows) just incase others aren’t used to farm animals

Cosy, great location, very comfortable and good WiFi
Very cold - but it was January so couldn’t be helped

We lived the barn and we will rent it again. Really big bed!
It was very cold, it would have been nice for the heating to have been on when we arrived.
Easier access to logs or an option to pre buy them so we could light the fire.

Cosy property close to Zip world and the town centre
We went in December and it was very cold in the property, we needed to turn on the heaters and have the old fire on to air it out and warm up

Having stayed here previously and had a lovely time I was so looking forward to returning. It wasn’t the most loved and clean of places but really cosy and these things didn’t affect our visit. Second time round wasn’t so great.
I received checking -in instructions a couple of days before and was told the footbridge was closed for repairs. This was one of the main reasons I chose to stay again, so my mum and I would be able to walk easily into town. I assumed it had recently been closed, it turns out it has been closed for a long time. This information should be made available, this was one of the main reasons I decided to bring my mum here. Having just looked at reviews, someone else had also made this complaint nearly 2yrs ago in July 2022!!!
Upon arrival the gate was falling apart and was tightly knotted with baler twine meaning it was difficult and annoying to have to deal with every time we left the property as well as being a security issue for the sheep.
It was freezing cold (another complaint I have since read numerous times), damp with dead woodlice everywhere , including on the kitchen table. Table mats filthy, beautiful feature window, filthy, cobwebs everywhere. Generally grubby and lacked any kind of love. Such a shame as it is such a cosy, beautiful space.
That evening we attempted to use the Tv… no wifi. Spent all evening trying to troubleshoot this. Gave up, decided to watch a dvd that was supplied… remote control didn’t work! How annoying when the dvd stopped working half way through and you couldn’t fast forward or rewind from the actual player itself. Note to anyone else… avoid the Michael McIntyre DVD !
With no Wi-Fi for the entirety of our stay, cosy evenings relaxing were out of the question, meaning we had to alter all of our plans. Host was on holiday, so contacted the alternative number supplied to us, to be told she was only supplying a cleaning service.
Thank goodness Wales is so beautiful as our stay could have so easily been ruined.

The location was great! Ample parking but a caravan arrived on night 2.
The layout was only really suitable for a couple and 2 kids - not for 4 adults. As a result of this, we left a night early. The bedding and bathroom was clean, but the overall cleanliness could be a little better. The property character was great but furnishings/decor a little tired. In comparison to other property’s however, the price/standard was comparable.

The location, the views and character of the property are all great. My host was friendly and communicative and the property was comfortable.
There were areas where cleanliness needs some attention such as under and close to furniture and around edges and in corners etc. However, the important areas, bathroom , kitchen, bed linen etc were all very clean. This is quite an expensive property.

Absolutely perfect get away. Peaceful perfect location, comfy bed, beautiful scenery and not too far to walk into Betws y coed. Would definitely come back. Barn had everything we needed for the week. Handy to have petrol station down the road also for topping up car after along journey. Lovely sunsets in the evening from outside.

The view from outside the cottage.
Private.
Quick response to my emails from the owner.
The cottage was more compact than we had anticipated.
More suitable to a couple or a couple with 1 or 2 children rather than 4 adults.
No windows in the living room or upstairs bedroom.
No wardrobes.
Quite dusty in places and behind the sofa especially needs a good hoover and dust.
Very low pitched ceiling in upstairs bedroom. I kept banging my head and i'm 5ft 5"
The upstairs bedroom is open and visible from the living room below, hence no privacy.
No dog walk near to the cottage. The adjacent fields are private with prohibited access and sheep. The small steep grassy area to the rear of the cottage was also occupied by sheep and full of sheep poo and not a suitable walking area for either dogs or humans
The bridge advertised as providing a short walk into Betws y Coed was closed throughout our stay and has been for a number of months!
This was a huge inconvienience for us as the alternative walking route into Betws y Coed was quite a long way in comparison to what would have been a manageable walk across the bridge for my 80 year old mother in law. The longer alternative walk runs alongside main roads with no opportunity to let the dogs off the lead!
The cottage owner informed us shortly before our stay that the bridge was closed but stated that hopefully it would be open by the time we arrived, however on reading the local paper, repairs to the bridge haven't yet been given the go ahead and it is unknown when the bridge will be open to the public again?

A beautiful barn conversion. We stayed for the New Year so had the log burner going and relaxed on the huge comfy sofa. There is a lovely newly fitted shower room and a small but compact kitchen. The perfect type of property relax in. The property is literally around the corner from the village and lovely walks.
No complaints from us

Perfect little cottage for our family of four and small dog. Had everything we needed and was an ideal location for walking up snowdon. Only a 10 minute walk into Betsw-y-coed and we also visited bounce below which was a short drive away and amazing! We would definitely love to visit again. So peaceful and amazing communication from owners when we had a few questions before our arrival.

This is an absolute gem. We went with friends to climb Snowdon. We both took our pooches and we all loved it. Including our dogs. 😀
It’s set in beautiful surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of life. It’s a ten minute walk into Betws y Coed and it took 15 minutes to drive to Mount Snowdon.
The property itself is very comfortable. Lovely beds, lovely shower and the evenings were cosy with the log fire. This is the first holiday accommodation that I have returned from and then re-booked immediately. Same group of friends, same pooches, sunnier time of year for our return!! Great value for money. Highly recommended.

Location is great, very private with beautiful views. Lovely patio area and the sofa is very comfortable! Gorgeous cottage with everything you need for a short stay.
Carpet in the living room quite dirty when we arrived and the house smells damp when you enter. Lots of spiders and master bedroom full of spider webs, so avoid staying in September if spiders bother you. It being a barn there’s not much that can be done but worth mentioning as I was uncomfortable sleeping amongst them. The upstairs bed is very uncomfortable and needs replacing, spring poking through the mattress.

Perfect location, beautiful scenery. Cosy barn, had everything you need for a comfy stay. We loved it.
It felt a little tired and could do with a general bit of TLC, especially the sealant in shower as the flooring was beginning to suffer but this didn’t take away from the property and all the positives far outweighed the slight negatives!

The location is lovely: from one direction, you can see the rolling fields and is just a short walk from the town, across a suspension pedestrian bridge. Perfectly spaced from the bustle of the town for us. Lots of sheep! The building is characterful and the hosts are charming and helpful. Very much enjoyed swimming in the nearby river after a hot day, as well as all Snowdonia has to offer.
Full disclosure: we had a brilliant stay but there were some niggles. The road noise is near, it didn't bother us though. The kitchen is very small, and there is zero storage for food (we had to leave it stacked on small countertops). There is not much in the kitchen, few utensils etc and a small fridge with just one small freezer drawer. This isn't the place to cook up meals for a family. Also, the fuse goes every time we used the toaster. There are no views out, if you were spending a lot of time inside in winter you may feel a bit closed in. That said we loved our time under the eaves in the character barn conversion.

The location was excellent
All necessities were provided except......
...no tea pot
And the shower drain was blocked causing a build up of water - but not overflowing! Once cleaned out it drained away OK
