Shower water pressure windows didnt open, no plug in sink, shut on sunday night

We liked it all - in no specific order - the welcoming staff (Tina is a gem), the decor, the spacious rooms, the cleanliness, the big towels, the free snacks, the Netflix account, the location, the food, the water in the fridge (and the fact that the bottles are glass and not plastic). Also that it’s possible to borrow adaptors if you’ve left them at home - and that there is an iron and an ironing board.

No dislikes at all, but the steep stairs up to the rooms can be a challenge for some people.

Well located, close to Holborn, close to metro, if you target this area. Very large room, renovated but with an old London house charm

Disappointing stay. The room was extremely noisy from 6am: construction work blocking the street (with drivers losing patience) and delivery trucks unloading directly below the windows. Hotel service was poor on several fronts: - Quiet room not honoured. I had specifically asked for a quiet room, and the property confirmed via Booking.com messaging that I would be given a high floor as it would be quieter. On arrival, this was not the case. I was too tired to check and only realised later. - Check-in mishandled. I messaged the property in the morning to confirm I would arrive at 10.30pm. The reply was reassuring: reception open until 11pm. At 10.15pm, the receptionist called me on my mobile to say he was leaving at exactly 10.30pm, and that I would have to call the porter ("10 minutes away by car") to be let in. I insisted he wait, as I would arrive on time or at most three minutes late. His manner was very poor, essentially: "I want to go home, your problem is not mine."
