Illovo Beach Apartments at La Mer

We had a wonderful stay at La Mer at Illovo Beach Apartments. This was our third time staying here, and it never disappoints — in fact, it always gives us something to look forward to. The apartments are very family-friendly, perfectly located close to the mall and activities, and the beachfront location is simply amazing. The staff are exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and warm, always willing to assist with a smile. A special thank you to Sis Gabi, Sis Ncami, and Sis Dudu — your kindness and hospitality truly made our stay even more memorable. We can’t wait to return again.

One small concern we had was that we were not allowed to enjoy fireworks outside the complex as we usually do. We were instead advised to go to the beach, which felt challenging for us as it was dark and did not feel safe, especially for the children and my mother. We would have appreciated a safer alternative within or closer to the complex.

The location was superb right in front of the beach with great views of the sunrises every morning. Really helpful and communicative hosts. This is my third time of staying at La Mer and it exceeds every time. Gaby and Burger could not have been more helpful with our changing timing ( We were there for a medical emergency ) - and every need was catered for. We especially loved the patio in the mornings and evenings.
