Xanadu Resort - High Class All Inclusive

We recently stayed at Xanadu Resort Belek for a family summer vacation, and overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience. The resort has many qualities that make it an excellent choice for families, although there are a few areas where I believe the hotel could significantly improve. 🌿 A beautiful resort surrounded by nature One of the things I appreciated most about Xanadu was the beautiful natural environment and enormous, well-maintained grounds. The resort is exceptionally spacious, with mature trees, lush gardens, ponds, walking paths, bridges and numerous quiet corners. It doesn’t feel like a conventional large hotel complex; rather, it feels like a beautiful holiday village integrated into nature. The landscaping gives the resort a special character and creates a very relaxing atmosphere, particularly in the evenings when walking around the property. 🍽️ Superb food and excellent barbecue The food was one of the highlights of our stay. The main restaurant offered a very impressive variety, with good-quality ingredients and plenty of choices for different tastes. I particularly enjoyed the barbecue and grilled dishes, which were consistently among the best options. The quality and variety of the grilled meats were excellent and added considerably to the overall dining experience. The resort also deserves credit for offering a broad range of food throughout the day, so it was generally easy to find something enjoyable whether you wanted a full meal or a lighter option. 🎭 Excellent evening entertainment The evening shows were another strong point. There was good diversity in the entertainment program, and the professional performances were among the most enjoyable aspects of our evenings. For a family resort, having genuinely entertaining evening programs rather than simply basic animation makes a significant difference, and Xanadu performed very well in this regard.

Despite the many positives, I do have some criticisms that I hope the management will take constructively. 👦 Kids Club — disappointing compared with the quality of the resort The biggest disappointment for us was the Kids Club. Considering the size, reputation and overall quality of Xanadu, I expected the children’s program to be much more engaging and energetic. Unfortunately, some of the staff appeared insufficiently enthusiastic and proactive, and they did not always succeed in attracting the children’s attention or creating an exciting atmosphere. The facilities themselves have considerable potential, but the human element is what makes a Kids Club successful, and I think this is an area where Xanadu could invest more in training, motivation and genuinely energetic children’s entertainers. 😐 Lack of enthusiasm from some staff More generally, I occasionally felt that some members of the entertainment/animation team lacked the energy, enthusiasm and emotional engagement expected from a high-end family resort. This is particularly noticeable when comparing Xanadu with the best family resorts in Belek, where the animation teams actively interact with guests and create an atmosphere rather than simply carrying out scheduled activities. Xanadu has an excellent physical infrastructure; I believe more passionate and energetic staff could elevate the experience considerably. 🍴 À la carte restaurants — an important criticism My other significant criticism concerns the à la carte restaurants and their additional charges. Xanadu has an impressive selection of dining venues, but I found it disappointing that several of these restaurants were not included in the accommodation rate and required additional payment. For a resort positioned at this level and operating an all-inclusive concept, I believe guests should receive more complimentary access to its specialty restaurants.

One of my favorite things about Xanadu is its beautiful setting surrounded by lush greenery, mature trees, and spacious gardens. The resort is remarkably large compared to its capacity, and even though the hotel was completely full during our stay, it never felt overcrowded. The vast grounds, variety of facilities, and well-distributed activities make a big difference. You can have live music, a show, and an outdoor movie screening happening at the same time in different areas of the resort, so there is always something going on without everything feeling concentrated in one place. It is particularly well suited to families with children. There are numerous play areas throughout the resort, and even the main restaurant has a separate food station designed specifically for children. At the same time, adults can escape to the adult-only beach, which is a very nice touch. An adult-only pool or a dedicated adults-only dining area would have made the experience even better. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The evening shows were another highlight — genuinely impressive, very professional, and much better than I expected from an all-inclusive resort. The main pool is huge and aesthetically beautiful, with an architecture inspired by ancient structures. There are also three water slides, which are surprisingly fun and add a nice element of entertainment. The overall atmosphere of the resort is one of its strongest points. It feels like a huge property immersed in nature, with a separate villa area, several different beach areas, and a variety of restaurants. For stays of three nights or more, you can dine at the à la carte restaurants once, although personally I think there is no real need to put a limit on this. The spa was also one of the most beautiful resort spas I have seen so far. Another major strength is the drinks selection.

The biggest downside of Xanadu is probably its age. The resort was built in 2000, so it is practically the grandfather of Belek’s large resort hotels. You can definitely feel that older resort style in certain parts of the property. That said, everything is very well maintained and clean. The rooms have been renovated and were spotless, but the overall design still feels somewhat dated. The carpeted floors and traditional room décor, in particular, feel quite different from the more modern, minimalist style of newer resorts. The food was another area where I would not set extremely high expectations. You certainly will not go hungry — there is a good variety, especially when it comes to salads and olive-oil-based dishes. There are also standard options such as meatballs and chicken every day. However, I would not describe the food as truly high-end from a gastronomic perspective. During our three-night stay, there was only one evening with grilled meat, which felt a little underwhelming for a resort of this scale. The food is generally tasty and more than adequate, but it does not quite deliver the premium culinary experience you might expect from a luxury resort. The pools are great, but unfortunately I cannot say the same about the sea. This is more of a general Belek issue than something the hotel can really control. The sea is constantly quite wavy, and at times it feels less like swimming and more like trying to survive the waves. For that reason, we actually enjoyed the pools much more than the sea. Overall, none of these downsides are serious enough to ruin your holiday. They are more the kind of details that make you think, “It would have been even better if…” The beautiful surroundings, spacious grounds, excellent service, variety of facilities, and overall atmosphere still make Xanadu a very enjoyable all-inclusive experience.

The service was exceptional and the property was beautiful!

The food can have much more variety and better in quality, it was quite monotonous when it came to the buffet. Also, the bungalow had 3 rooms, but just one bathroom.
