Great staff. Exceptional food. Was a perfect location for us. I would imagine wandering around the gardens in better weather would be very enjoyable as they did look very inviting despite the torrential downpours. Views over to the sea were gorgeous.
Beds were a little soft for us, but that really is down to personal preference as opposed to there being anything actually wrong with them.

Very nice stay but got very expensive
Paying £300 for a meal for two plus £70 for wine and then they ask for a £4 supplement for the cheese board ,
It ended up costing us over £800 for two nights, very greedy people

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and had the most amazing time. The coach house was perfect, and we absolutely loved having our own hot tub such a special touch and a great way to ring in the New Year. The staff were incredible from start to finish, so friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The fireworks were absolutely awesome and made the night feel extra special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate one of the best stays we’ve had and memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was good, freshly cooked and plentiful. The dinners were excellent really enjoyed the venison. On a level with any of the Michel star restaurants we have visited. We will again, for the food!
Room ceiling! Also head board.

A real ‘at home ‘ feeling. Excellent staff and service.
Notice in bathroom telling me the toiletries could be purchased and
what would happen if I took them (my card would be charged)- made me feel as though I was being given an unnecessary warning. Likewise about making sure the shower curtain was inside the bath when showering otherwise water would pool on floor and seep through to room below. I feel this is unnecessary - shower curtain is outdated and should be replaced with a good quality bath screen and the floor should be adequately sealed then the problem would not arise and the ‘warning’ would not be necessary.

Food was delicious and all the staff were very efficient and caring.
Room comfortable although a 5ft "topping" on a 4ft6in base bed was not so comfy and not what we expected!!

Lounge areas and bar comfortable and friendly staff.
room very small and bed not very comfortable too soft. Breakfast smoked streaky bacon not to my partners taste and mushrooms lacking flavour.

Really comfortable cosy room with lovely view. Excellent food creatively prepared, well presented and absolutely delicious. Even the Full English was beautifully cooked and a wide range of other choices available.
Nothing, all was great and thoroughly enjoyed.

Loved the restaurant and the food. Absolutely brilliant.
The place is too far away to walk anywhere, you really need a car.

Everything was lovely ,the room large and spacious. Roast dinner was the best we ever had! Super clean everywhere. Great location
I didn't like the receptionist bursting in our room when we had the do not disturb sign on . She could have knocked and waited till we answered because she had just seen us settling up at reception and knew we were in the room . Felt like she was trying to catch us out doing something wrong or something we weren't supposed to do ( which wasn't the case ) . Good thing we weren't having "alone time " or changing . Felt like invasion of privacy when she could have knocked and waited for a response . Either way bursting in like that didn't feel good 😕

Liked absolutely everything. The most wonderful room and view. Fantastic restaurant and food and service. Great receptionist - so helpful. Wonderful 5am walk down the the cove to see the sunrise. Thank you for a fantastic stay (May time)
Nothing. It was all perfect

The room and ensuite bathroom were very big and we had a beautiful view of the garden & sea in the distance.
We didn't have breakfast included in the price, but we decided to have it on two of the mornings and for the extra £10 per head it was great value and very good. We thought the idea of having a fridge on the landing with bottles of water was a really nice touch.

The furnishings are a bit dated but you could say it’s part of the charm!

Our suite was amazing
The breakfast wasn’t great. The hot tub blew out lots of dirty water and scum when switched on initially.

We normally stay in the chain hotels but we don’t decided to try something different. This small hotel was fabulous and a ‘real’ place with staff who were passionate about their hotel. Would definitely stay again

This was my fifth stay at Orestone Manor, and I’m pleased to report that standards remain as high as ever. It’s a well-appointed, family-run hotel in a truly stunning location, overlooking Labrador Bay — a view that never loses its magic.
The team run a tight and thoughtful ship, with warm, attentive service that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are spotless, characterful, and comfortably furnished — cared for with pride and attention to detail.
The Bay Restaurant continues to impress, offering food of a very high standard. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and classic charm. It’s a real asset to the hotel and a draw in its own right.
The residents’ breakfast is excellent value at £10 — generous, freshly prepared, and served with the same care as dinner. A fine start to the day, whether you’re off exploring the coast or simply taking in the view.
Orestone Manor remains a firm favourite. For anyone seeking comfort, quality, and a touch of timeless English hospitality in a breathtaking setting, it’s hard to beat. I’ll be back again, no doubt.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. Couldn’t have been more helpful from helping carry things such as drinks (I use a crutch) to even writing down the name of the delicious prunes served at breakfast (I hadn’t asked for this but had commented on how good they were and the staff member took it upon herself to give me the name which I thought was very kind and considerate) Beautiful furnishings inside and fantastic views and gardens outside. Staff care was outstanding.
Nothing, it was all excellent.

Lovely breakfast with hot options cooked to order. Food on the Set price dinner menu was excellent quality, and wait staff were fantastic.
Eclectic English country house furnishings and decor.
Fixed dinner menu was a little expensive (and many items were extra on top of fixed price)
The walk to the beach/cliff top was further than we'd expected.

Authentic hotel in a fantastic location. The suite was luxurious, nicely decorated and a stunning view over the sea. Nice amenities in the bathroom. We appreciated the charging point for our electric car. The continental breakfast was simple, but also lower in price than the cooked breakfast. Dinner was really good, very good quality and nice presentation.

This hotel has great sea views. Its in a tucked away postion away from busy Torquay. We feel its excellent value for money. Our room was large and beautifully furnished with a balcony. The Bathroom was also large with a freestanding bath and great separate shower. Breakfast was buffet style with hot dishes cooked to order. We had dinner in the smaller restaurant section overlooking a terrace and gardens with lovely sea views. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent using high quality ingredients and service was attentive with staff being very knowledgeable about dishes and wines. There is a small free car park for guests.
