    This hotel has a great location, very close the River Otter and only half a mile from Budleigh Salterton beach. It’s very friendly and the breakfast is excellent, using local Devon produce. The hotel doesn’t serve evening meals but there is an excellent fish restaurant on the beach as well as a cafe. The premises are licensed so you can have a drink.

    I spent two nights here in very hot sunny weather. I knew the room was small, so I was satisfied with the space and the single bed. The bed was very comfortable, the room and the ensuite shower room was clean and suited my needs. The shower cubicle is small, so wouldn't suit anyone more than average height or size. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff made my stay very pleasant. My room overlooked the garden which is lovely and it was very peaceful and relaxing overall. Even in the exceptional heat, having the windows open kept the room cool enough to sleep in.
