A wonderful place in a beautiful hillside setting, housed in a charming former farmstead with an old forge and traditional outbuildings. Everything is beautifully decorated, both inside and out, with a warm and very rustic atmosphere. Our balcony had a superb view towards the Alps, and right next to the property there is an old church and a small cemetery, all beautifully maintained and perfectly in keeping with the peaceful surroundings. The staff were lovely, the local food was excellent, and the whole place felt genuinely welcoming and full of Carinthian character. There were flowers everywhere, everything was spotless and beautifully kept, with that unmistakable Austrian sense of order. Absolutely wonderful.
The only downside was the lack of air conditioning. Luckily, the evening rain cooled the air down enough for a comfortable night.
