Craven Garth Cottages

Looked cared for effort had been made. The welcome pack was the best I’ve ever seen. We arrived and the heating had been on but at a very low temperature which made it feel very cosy and welcoming.

The location was the best part of the stay. I booked 2 cottages for our family so we could spend the weekend together and we had the best time exploring.

We had to report a couple of things to the owners but they sorted them straight away.

Completely tucked away, no mobile connectivity, no noise, just rolling hills and countryside around you. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and helpful & a couple of recently installed EV chargers is a major bonus. Simply perfect for either a long weekend away from literally everything to unwind or as a base for a hiking holiday. We stayed in a small quaint cottage with really good facilities. Complimentary coffee, tea, biscuits and even milk and butter waiting for you! That's over and above care and attention.

Literally only one issue was that the shower wasn't a stand up shower, just a hair rinse in a bath so for us being a bit older it proved difficult to use so if this is an issue make sure you check the property details or contact the patron for details. Other than that we were very happy with our stay.

The location, the staff and the walks. Beautiful welcome pack on arrival. Owners on site for any questions.

Lack of hanging space for towels in en-suite bathroom. Enough drawers in twin bedroom, but 3 hangers and pegs for clothes was not really adequate. But because of small space understandable.
