Amazing location for peace and quiet, walking and the outdoors, very thoughtful welcome pack of goodies and logs, great communication from owners, dogs welcome, good value for money
We loved it but just a couple of points - the heaters took a while to get going so the 2nd eve was much warmer then the 1st. The WiFi during our stay was intermittent which was great for us to switch off but couldn’t have ‘worked from home’ for example

Comfortable, traditional style property with a log-burning stove and storage heaters (both necessary as our visit coincided with cold and wet weather). A friendly welcome from the owner and property manager and a generous welcome pack of kitchen basics, topped off by an unexpected early Christmas tree. Ample parking and outdoor space (although we didn't use that much due to weather / time of year).
Nothing.

The night skies were beautiful with stunning walks and sights for the day. The gracious hosts were accommodating and easy to contact. The cottage was such a relaxing place to come home to after a day out, with all comforts thought of, including a large bath.
There was nothing we didn't like that was unexpected for the area. When you travel to that part of the world, you expect it to be very steep in places and to have no signal. The hosts provided amazing wifi at the cottage, so this was negated.

Lovely place, bit further away from anything than we first thought but really nice and quiet

Stunning little cottage in a wonderful location. Absolutely perfect to base your North Yorkshire adventure from. Lovely hosts, who added some very nice little touches as some milk in the fridge, bread and marmalade for breakfast and enough wood for the first nights fire - very thoughtful
Nothing, everything was perfect

Location Location Location . Perfect for lovely walks . Beautiful NYM. Tranquil peaceful absolutely fantastic. There is quite a little hamlet of accommodation but being thick stone walls not much sound gets through. Being during school time there were no kids playing outside. Views from the windows for us were excellent. Wake up look straight up or down the dale.
The property had everything we needed. Free wifi essential. The upstairs and downstairs loos were a bonus (old people)
Warm enough - plenty of heaters - TBF we didn't need them much - time of year /weather
beds were a bit soft for us. Bigger mention of the lack of mobile signal. Only a problem until you get to the wifi. I had the instructions in an unopened email. This didn't matter in the end due to the use of the slate/chalk note.

Comfort and cleanliness of the property.
Caroline and Jeremy friendly and informative.
Great views.
Lovely location
It was the shower having to climb in the bath. Okay if you're young but I've got a dodgy hip and I struggled plus I'm old lol
It was our own fault I didn't read the facilities properly .

We loved everything, especially the amazing views and the very helpful polite Jeremy and Caroline. A lovely welcome. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The tea , coffee, sugar, milk , orange juice, jam marmalade and bread was so lovely. Very clean. Having 2 bathrooms always a bonus. Beautiful countryside and having WiFi was fantastic as mobile signal.

Jeremy is a great host, very friendly and is very helpful at supplying local information for walks and where to eat. The children loved the opportunities to pet and feed animals which was a bonus.

The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside,an area perfect for those who want solitude in an area perfect for long country walks. We enjoyed wildlife watching in the surrounding fields. The property was spotlessly clean and dog friendly. The owner was very responsive to sorting a small problem which arose.
Be aware you need a car to buy basic provisions or go out for a coffee, lunch etc....but the beautiful landscape and peaceful surroundings are compensation!

All keys were in the door of the cottages ( cottages in isolated location) and a welcoming slate with name on for each property. Great idea.) parking bay few feet away from cottages.
This was our second stay here as we love both the cottages and location. To arrive and have bread, butter, milk, orange juice, jams and marmalades in each cottage was so welcoming. There were logs for the log burner. I fail to find anything that could have made it better. Hosts were very welcoming.

Lovely location, beautiful views. The hosts had left tea, coffee, sugar, milk, fresh orange, butter, jams, bread and jaffa cakes for us.The cottage was quirky, which we loved, and clean with a kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The log burner was left ready to light with a bag of logs too, it made for a lovely cosy evening.
There is a nice walk through the fields down to the river which we enjoyed. There is good free wifi and a smart tv.
It is so peaceful there we will definitly book again thankyou Caroline and Jeremy

Warm, cosy cottage with everything you need
Couldn’t get decent tv even with firestick - lots of freezing and buffering

On arrival met by owner Jeremy who was a fountain of local knowledge and walking routes. Kitchen had bread, butter, milk, orange juice, tea, coffee and sugar provided free of charge. Beds comfy and logs provided for woodburner. Rosedale is beautiful and views from garden were spectacular and bbq and seating area provided. Quiet spot but very peaceful.
Not much to dislike tbh. Maybe decorations a little dated but didn't spoil the experience in any way. Highly recommended.

We loved everything, ftom the location, to the views, the animals. The owners were very friendly and hospitable.
Really enjoyed our walk up to blakey ridge from the cottage, a good 1.5 hours up hill (very steep in places).
A lovely and very relaxing break, we will definitely be back. Thank you! :)

Although we didn’t need to contact the hosts they were always available, welcomed us on arrival and kept in contact both before and during our stay.

Excellent location. Beautiful and cosy cottages.Peaceful and tranquil countryside. Customer service was exceptional. Jeremy sent us local walks which were an excellent recommendation. The addition of milk, bread, orange juice, butter and jam was a lovely touch as well as the logs for the burner. My niece and nephew loved seeing the cows and the sheep on the farm. The shared garden was beautiful to sit in under a very starry sky and we used the outside table and benches for breakfast and lunch. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning

What can I say, absolutely great home base for visiting local places, we've had a rough few years, more so lately, I just searched found this absolutely unreal value for money place, I actually may have rehomed my soul lol, you get nothing but a loving family business who can't do enough for you
I'm not sure if I'm even correct about this as my memory deceives me but I'm sure 2 days in a row I locked my door and both times I returned the door was unlocked, if I'm wrong then my apologies but I'm sure the 2nd day I made sure, was just a bit un nerving that's all no biggie, nothing to hide anyways

The property was very clean and had all required amenities. The scenery which can be viewed from most windows is directly outside with lovely walks directly from the farm. It was situated close to Hemsley Pickering, Hutton Le Hole and Kirkbymoorside , all very pretty villages well worth visiting.
Could be little cold in the evening, even with the fire stove ablaze, although the temperature on the visit was exceptionally cold.

Perfect for two couples and dogs.
- Rooms were far apart & two bathrooms which felt like we had our own space
- Living room and kitchen area perfect for the dogs
- lovely quiet location but nice walks to various places
- We were a bit confused about where to park when we arrived, we couldn't find the wifi code and it wasn't totally clear if we were allowed in the garden area. would be good to add the information into the guest book or message before check-in.

Lovely little cottage bungalow in a lovely, peaceful location! Had everything we needed for a quiet little break away!
Everything was perfect! Maybe could have done with a bit more kindling to help get the fire going properly!

Just a little bit out the way .. but my own fault for not checking the map thoroughly, but ideal if you’re looking to completely get away to tranquility

Location is great as i wanted to explore the driving roads like Blakey Ridge nearby.
, cottage is lovely and clean and lovely
complimentary milk and butter added is a nice touch as well as eggs which were really tasty.
onsite parking and Netflix and Prime on the TV is a bonus.
Hosts are really approachable and so helpful.
The views from the cottage are astounding.
Will be here again for sure when they have availability!
shower a bit weak, hot water unreliable
Wifi signal is very intermittent which is a shame as I couldn't do any work on my laptop
All understandable given the nature of the location though as its supposed to be a break
