Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. We had a huge delay in our flight and they waited for us for up to 1.5 hours after check-in time and asked for a very little fee to do so. Rooms were clean, and the place was quiet but central to walk around Valparaiso.
If we had to find something, the only thing would be the bathroom being a bit small and not the greatest, but overall clean and usable for a one-night stay.

The room itself is very nice - it's spacious and bright. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. The common area is great and well equipped, and a nice space to meet other people. There's a very nice and chilled social vibe during the day. WiFi was good throughout the building.
Location of the hostel is very good, lots of food options (especially vegan/veggie) close by, and a nice, safe area to wander around.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Although the description on booking describes the hostel as tranquil, this is the complete opposite of our experience. One night there was a party in the common area with extremely loud music until after midnight, and people talking/banging loudly until after 1am - as there's no door on the area it was crazy loud in our room. Another night the people in the room next to ours were playing metal and talking loudly until around 3am. There's also a lot of noise from the street.
This is definitely a party hostel so we felt misled from the description and wouldn't have booked if we'd known, especially as it was more expensive than similar places in the area. The common area doesn't close until 1am and because of the layout of the building, you're awake from the noise until then.
The private bathroom is down the hall on the opposite side of the building. Again, we'd chosen this hostel and paid more because of this, so it feels a bit misleading there's no mention (have rechecked the description to see if we'd missed this and we hadn't).
