Wonderful location in the heart of Carnac.

Great location in the heart of Carnac. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good. The hotel was formerly a farm and it was lovely to see the original character of the building maintained. Great place to stay and explore the area, especially the Alignments of Carnac and the coastal areas. A very relaxing place

A great place to stay with a small luggage!

It was a great choice to stay in upper Carnac, which is a little further from the beach, but so much calmer and with so much more interesting environment - restaurants and shops were a little less touristic. It was also closer to the stones of Carnac, which was our main travel goal. The hotel was situated in a calm part of the village, and the only noise we would hear was from a chatter in the restaurant downstairs. The room design was lovely - very beautiful wallpaper matching with the old wooden construction. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast is worth to be ordered. The restaurant is worth a try, especially, if you want to escape the mass concentrated at the beach zone. The food was great, but had a nineties vibe, and it was a little overpriced.

The room was tight for two people - there was very little space to put our things without having to stumble over them or spend a lot of time searching for something under a pile. As the hotel is not far from the beach, it would be good to consider that people will bring their wet swim wear in need to dry - the was no place to dry them, except taking off the towels from their racks in the bathroom. We would be drying them by hanging on the chairs. The bed was also quite small (1.6 m). As there was no AC, we would keep the windows open during the night, but the courtyard lamps were so intense, that we couldn't keep the windows open at their fullest. The staff was friendly, however, communication was complicated. We arrived a little earlier, but within the working hours of the reception indicated on booking. Trying to communicate with the hotel first by indicated phone numbers, then my messaging on booking, we received no answer. When the phone was finally answered, the lady couldn't speak English, and our French was not enough. However, when she showed up an hour later, she was very friendly, and managed to communicate in a mix of French and some English.

The restaurant is amazing, delicious food and wine, and excellent service. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and it is right in the centre of Carnac, so easy to get everywhere.

Fabulous restaurant with rooms central old Carnac

Really should describe itself as a fabulous restaurant with rooms! Restaurant really outstanding even in Brittany . Rooms are plain very clean and newly refurbished. Location within 5 min walk of old Carnac. Book ahead for restaurant

Shame couldn't eat there on both nights despite being residents - perhaps suggest booking same time as reserving rooms. Whilst old Carnac is lovely we thought the seafront and larder resort a bit soulless

Wonderful place to stay while visiting the standing stones in and around Carnac.

The hotel is a little tricky to find due to the narrow one-way streets in Carnac, but once there access was good. Luggage must be carried up one flight of stairs, so be prepared for that. The room was typical European size, but well laid out with useful storage and bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, and the hostess very helpful. We prefer these older buildings with thick stone walls and beamed ceilings over modern cookie-cutter places.

Even with satnav in the car, it took us a couple of circuits around the centre ville to find the hotel. There are signs posted, but they are easy to miss.

the location was great - right in town but not on a high street

The manager was very unfriendly and could not be bothered to talk with us The room was very cramped and basic - despite a redecoration, no effort had been made to make it cosy The closet was in the bathroom and the toilet and was only separated from the main room by a curtain parking was random - if there were fewer guests at the restaurant, you could get a space - but no guarantees The staff/guests congregated under our window later in the evening and talked and smoked etc when we were ready for bed The bed was hard and we had to ask for extra pillows there was nothing offered - no hairdryer - an excuse for shampoo and soap which fortunately we didn't need to use and the towels were not adequate size for a larger person (size 18 and up) There was a feeling that you didn't matter and they just take your money - no sense of warmth or delight in having guests

Lovely room with very comfy beds. Very clean. Beautiful building, good location. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Easy parking. We should have read the information more carefully, as we missed the different check-in time on the day we arrived.

Quaint and central

Our room was okay but small for twin beds. The on-suite wasn't much bigger than a wardrobe. The location of the hotel is very good and we could see some of the rooms were better appointed. Most of the staff focus would seem to be on the successful but expensive restaurant. The reception staff should be more capable and welcoming.

Our 'welcome' wasn't at all friendly. We arrived a little before the advised five o'clock check-in and parked up our motorcycle to wait. We were approached by the man who seemed suspicious about our presence there. We had a reservation and it took some time to find my name on his chaotic notebook. Not a good start. The gravel driveway is cramped and has a noisy surface, resulting in the large cars of other guests grinding loudly back and forth to get turned and parked. Not good for motorcycles either as it's easy to skid.

A part l'extérieur qui est très joli, rien

Si on aime se faire engueuler quand on arrive, allez-y. Ce n'est pas mon cas et je ne remettrai jamais les pieds dans cet hôtel. Nous sommes arrivés en retard certes mais se faire engueuler non!

Super Lage, schöne Atmosphäre, herrlicher Steand

Super Lage: Das Hotel ist mitten im netten und belebten Ort. Sowohl die Menhire als auch der sehr schöne Strand sind zu Fuß zu erreichen (in 20-30 Minuten). Das alte Haus ist sehr schön und hat Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist zentral, aber wunderbar ruhig. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut.

Der Duschvorhang im Badezimmer ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Käse, Wurst und frisches Obst zum Frühstück wären schön gewesen. Aber das Baguette und die Kirschmarmelade waren ausgezeichnet.
