Colonel’s Retreat

Comfortable room, calm and safe neighbourhood, excellent breakfast, super nice staff.

AC was a bit noisy, even at lower setting.

Such a lovely accommodation! A real retreat after the heat and noise of Delhi. As we are a family of five, we booked two rooms. They were beautiful, spacious, quiet and luxurious, with a sitting room outside the rooms where we could relax. The staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. The perfect place to stay in Delhi!

Everything was superb.

Location was great, about 30 minute ride from airport. Around 10-minute walk to nearest Metro station and 20 minutes to restaurant and shops. The hotel is in a gated community, very safe and quiet neighbourhood. Rooms were very clean and good in size, bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Nice breakfast provided. We booked for 3 nights and planned to move to a hotel near the airport the night before our flight but because we liked the place we decided to stay and book another night.

The room was large. The hotel was close to a metro station.

We felt that we didn't stay in the hotel we booked and were placed in an overflow building across the road. The room we were given did not resemble the photos on Booking.com e.g. there were no pictures on the wall, it had generic and corporate looking hotel furnishings and no personnel or security on site. The complimentary water bottles were half empty. High tea was pretty pathetic with a few biscuits and a virtually finished cake. As we were leaving early, we were given a packed up breakfast which was a token effort with a pathetic cheese sandwich, a few scraps of banana bread and a carton of juice. Bearing in mind that this the most expensive hotel we stayed in over our month long tour of India, it was also the most lacking in service, character and value.
