B&B La Veduta

Antonio is an amazing host and the place is absolutely wonderful. Having breakfast with that incredible view every morning was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Antonio and his mum, Nella, are both lovely, welcoming, and genuinely funny — we really enjoyed chatting with them and they made us feel right at home. Scilla itself is a beautiful, peaceful seaside town with sunshine, a great beach, and a very relaxed atmosphere. What more could you ask for? We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back again!

The only slight inconvenience was that the private bathroom is across the hallway from the bedroom, so you need to step out of the room to access it. It was never really an issue for us, though, and it’s a very small trade-off considering how wonderful everything else about the stay was.

Beautiful B&B directly on the sea. Lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the water. Traditional fishing boats are often out and fun to watch. We saw dolphins near sunset cruising across the bay. Stromboli is visible in the distance. Antonio is a superb host. His mother is a fantastic baker, making incredible breakfast cakes and other pastries with local ingredients and recipes. Both are a pleasure to talk with; kind, considerate, interesting, and funny. There’s a wonderful little beach within walking distance and a plethora of restaurants and wine bars for an aperitivo. We’d come back in a minute!

We loved everything! Antonio even arranged for convenient parking nearby for our rental.

What a gem of a location! The balcony was perched over the rocks and the brilliant turquoise sea and we were able to experience the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets. Watching the local swordfish trawlers and fishermen was truly unique and memorable. The village of 'Chianalea' next to Scilla was a lovely surprise - the very, very narrow cobblestone streets and the bars/restaurants over the water made for a very picturesque landscape. I hope our many photos will capture the essence of this tiny town. Antonio, our host was friendly and welcoming and able to give us a lot of helpful information. However, we were perfectly content just to sit on our balcony and watch the world go by. We highly recommend this apartment and location to fellow travelers who also like to take the scenic route!
