Hôtel Neptune Place d'Italie

Great location, with many restaurants nearby, a shopping mall, and several metro stations within easy reach. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I had a very concerning experience involving a potential scam. I was contacted via WhatsApp by someone claiming to represent the hotel and asking me to complete my pre-check-in. They had access to several of my reservation details, which made the message look legitimate, and I was then asked to provide my banking information. I almost fell for it because the person already had my booking information. I immediately contacted the hotel by email to verify whether the WhatsApp message was legitimate, but I received no response until a week later. The hotel eventually confirmed that the WhatsApp contact was not affiliated with them. Given that someone was impersonating the hotel and using my reservation details to request financial information, I believe this should have been treated as an urgent security matter and communicated much more quickly to guests. There is no safe in the room. We also did not feel comfortable having to leave our room key at the front desk every time we went out, especially given that there was no safe available in the room. There is no elevator, which can be inconvenient if you have heavy luggage.

Location was great, close to bars and restaurants in a safe area. Very close to the metro station. Members of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We didn’t try breakfast. All in all, considering the prices of Paris, I would still recommend this property

Room decor was tired and minimalistic. No hair dryer in the room and no air con. We didn’t need a/c as at the end of September temperatures were pleasant. However, I can imagine it being a nightmare during the heatwave of the past few weeks.

The hotel was cozy and our room was adequately sized for us to open our two big luggage fully and still have room to move around. The room felt very cool although there was no aircon and we could also request a kettle and hair dryer from the reception. The location was fantastic, just a few steps away from the metro station and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. They even facilitated for us to do an early check in when we arrived in the morning as the room was available, much appreciated after many hours of flying! Will definitely be back again!

All was great!
