This is the most unique 'hotel' ive ever stayed at. I put hotel in quotes because this place is significantly more sacred than a hotel. Adi and his family grew up in this traditional Thai home and what a gift it is that he's opened it to the public. The vibe I wanted was getting an authentic Thai living experience, not to have a smart TV and a modern style living arrangement I can find anywhere else. The mastery of craftsmanship around the home blew my mind. It truly feels like you're on temple grounds , enclosed in a rainforest with the amount of plant growth surrounding you. It was the perfect mix of feeling a peaceful, authentic living experience (that I thought I'd have to travel further into the mountains to find) , and being in the hub of chiang mai close enough to anything you could want to get to in the city. Aunya (sister of the owner) arranged and covered my pickup from the airport saving me a ton of stress, as well as organized multiple drivers , and fun activities for me to do throughout my stay. They also offer a Thai herbal steam room, not with essential oils but with fresh Thai herbs steaming in a boiling pot. That experience with a thunderstorm going on around us was an unforgettable experience. Adi and his brother are certified herbalist and offer an extensive fresh tea shelf that I helped myself to every night. I didn't know what to expect with the Thai breakfast they offered but each morning I was given more fresh fruit and delicious Thai dishes than I could handle , it was some of the freshest food I've had in all of Thailand. I originally booked for 3 nights but extended to 7 upon realizing just how rare it is. They genuinely treat everyone like family. I absolutely will come back in the future. I could go on and on but the tl:dr is if you resonate with anything I've typed.. stop overthinking and book the trip, I can confidently say you'll love it !!

unfortunately the place is like a jungle witch make the fill authentic Thailand and means that it has lot of mosquitoes.

The staff is great, always friendly and helpful. Nothing is ever a problem. Location is great, it is in close to shops and restaurants but if you want to have calm holiday, you can,. The pool is one of most beautifully created pools i have seen. If it was not for the closure of last minute pool/ facilities due to wedding, i would have said perfect holiday spot if you want a high end calm resort stay in Thailand.

You cannot ” trust” that you can use the facilities….on Friday evening we get note that on the Saturday we cannot use the pool and rest due to wedding as from 13h. And same for Sunday. Since only one pool and the seas was rough, you really could not use facility. When you have a week vacation and for 2 days you cannot use the facilities as you had intended, it is very disappointing. The hotel knew this 1 year in advance and the least i would have expected is that they inform you upfront so that you have a chance to change venue. This did not happen, it was all an unpleasant last minute surprise. The staff was great in trying to manage but fact was there, the hotel was closed off for long time for the other guests staying there Have stayed at many high end resorts/hotel but have never experience this. In addition, the hotel is branded as calm classy hotel and the wedding was gay wedding and on the Sunday pool party, it was extravagant with dragshow, alcohol etc in middle of the property. Not compatible w the brand and how teh hotel is portraying itself on Tripadvisor and Booking com. Really a big mistake.
