La Bonne Auberge - Seine Panorama SAS

Of course the location is out of the World. The food each day, breakfast and dinner, was original and set in a superb setting. The host on top brought an exceptionally warm and personal touch to our stay.

Nothing comes to my mind.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful with excellent English, location by the Seine was beautiful and the cottages very charming.

Bath with a hand held shower was inconvenient, having to kneel in the bath to shower as no shower curtain. WiFi was very frustrating with often no connectivity. Bed was small for me (I am 188cm) and headroom caused me some problems! Stairway to our apartment very steep.

Warm welcome on the night of the solar eclipse. Glasses were provided so that we could view the eclipse whilst having dinner in the garden. Magical. The village is very pretty and the property is unique. Bertrand is the most calm person, so soothing to be with!

It is so quirky. Not like a hotel, we didn’t expect that anyway Bertrand made me a pot of tea each morning, a teapot rather than a teabag in a saucer, is a treat The chesterfield sofa made the room cosy. The bed was supremely comfortable

The payment system, I expected a familiar payment machine. Their machine did not work and the bank blocked my card after three attempts. Went through security and they unblocked my card and said that they would accept the payment through the Lydia terminal but my card was rejected by the machine All this resulted in my having to find a bank each day to draw 200;euro’s out each day to settle the bill. I wish that I had paid Booking.com direct in the first pace. I was in a lot of pain traipsing round a town each day to find a bank machine. It ruined my holiday. The kitchen was a mess. Bertrand is not very organised
