The Staff, the view, the facilities, the service, the location, add ons... I cant really knock anything abiut the experience, it was one of the best hotel experiences that Ive had to date.

The in hotel services, like food room service and the spa are a bit pricey but thats hardly a knock against them.

Justin at the entrance was amazing. The hotel staff at the breakfast venue and the pool were amazing. The breakfast is out of this world. The security is fantastic and the location of The Oyster Box is wonderful. The grounds are magnificent and everything is clean. Beautiful artwork displayed throughout the hotel. The front desk could have been more welcoming. Low energy from the person attending to us. The spa was fantastic as always. Amanda at reception was very professional and Thobs who took me for my treatment was unbelievably good!

Ive stayed at The Oyster Box before with my son and our dogs on a school holiday to Umhlanga. The accomodation we were given then was exceptional. Unfortunately the room that we received this time was tiny, despite the hotel not being busy at all... which meant that we could have been given a better room. It also smelt of mold. No welcome plate of fruit or nuts. Nothing other than a printed out piece of paper in the room to welcome us. Very disappointed. A single block of no name brand chocolate in the draw costs R135.... shocking! The hotel is deserted at dinner time because there are venues close by that offer much better value for money.
