Perfect for a short stay

Nice location in south-west end of Paris. Quarter has everything in walkable distance, restaurants, supermarkets & shops. Metro & bus station just a minute away. Rooms are small but very clean. Staff is friendly.

Stairs & elevator quite narrow & small. Second chair in a room for two would be nice.

A good stay

The location was perfect and there was a bus station exactly in front of the hotel which made a very comfortable access to reach tourist area. The staff were also very kind, great and helpful and they spoke both English and French.They were at reception 24 hours. The room was tidy and its facilities were acceptable. The hotel was very cozy with a small elevator.

The room was not soundproof and I could here everything happened in rooms near me. It was annoyable specifically at nights. There was also bad noise of closing doors of the rooms... It was better to facilitate the rooms with a refrigerator.

I stayed at Hotel Murat and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The room didn’t have a trash bin in the bathroom, which was very inconvenient. It was also not soundproof at all—I could hear people in the neighboring rooms as well as the housekeeping staff cleaning other rooms, which was quite disturbing. The elevator was extremely small, making it difficult to use comfortably. Also, when the room was cleaned, they didn’t replace used items like cups or soap unless I specifically asked for them. Most of the hotel staff were friendly. In particular, the receptionist during my checkout on May 4th was very rude and unprofessional. The only positive aspect of the hotel was its location—it’s directly in front of a bus stop and right next to a metro station, which made getting around easier. Overall, it was not a stay I’d like to repeat and I would not recommend this hotel.

It’s a very cozy & atmospheric boutique-y type, seems like the apartment block been transformed into, hotel. Staff is very helpful, efficient, polite and know their job. Room was very clean (I’m an hygiene geek due to occupation) and minimalistic but all was there: slippers, good toiletries, kettle, etc. Very nice powerful shower and super clean (may be recently renovated?!) bathroom. Location is easy to find and very close to metro, with lots of various necessities shopping around the area but that’s not much around ie sightseeing, apart from botanical gardens, if you have few hours spare. Street is on a busy side in AM but at night was quiet. Shop opposite works late on weekends.

Lift can fit 2ppl hugging 😂 (literally!) or 1 person & a upright standing bag, with no room left. Otherwise it’s a spiral staircase. Rooms aren’t standard shape mostly. PS It’s not regarding hotel, but if you travel by metro with heavy luggage, there are lots of stairs to cover going up…

The area is bad, the hotel is extremely old, the room I could barely fit my suitcase and walk properly, bed was tiny and uncomfortable, AC was not working, had to open the window and it was raining, there was no ventilation in the room, theres a door stopper behind the door and I jammed my toe terribly as its positioned badly, its a hazard. Must leave the key at reception every time you leave the room, if you lose it theres a $30 fee, no water available, not even for purchase.

Upon check in - the hotel was not how it looked on the pictures, none of the photos match the location or rooms. The receptionist was no where to be found, run down dirty hotel with piles of dirt in every corner. We were given the wrong room with no space to move, found leftover belongs of a past guest. No restocking of toilet paper and towels or cleaning throughout the stay. The doors did not lock and there was no security you could access any other hotel room with just the torn of the knobs also the hooks of the mirrors fell off. Moldy shower with other peoples hair in the shower drain. Damp ceilings and stained and torn curtains. Windows also did not lock. Regarding to the beds the mattress was too small for the bed frame and the springs of the mattress were broken. The hotel was under maintenance the whole time with painters in the corridors. Every morning we had a rude awakening due to someone trying to open our door. In the corridors there were the rooter and the phone along with a lot of wires placed on all over the floor messily. This hotel was a total scam and no compensation was given. This hotel is very unprofessional. Check in was done by just taking a picture of an ID card using his personal phone. The code of the main entrance was not given. Overall a waste of money and would definitely not recommend stepping near this hotel.
