The cottage is older in style with original decor, providing a cost-effective accommodation option in a highly sought-after waterfront position.
Upon entering Chester Cottage, guests are welcomed by a chilled beach vibe and breathtaking ocean views from nearly every room. The property is designed for comfort and relaxation, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Had a fabulous long weekend here. The outside could do with a good tidy up very sandy mats etc. Also a lot of the crockery and cutlery was not very clean but overall great house thank you

The house has not been deep cleaned in a very long time. We killed a minimum of 15 spiders during our 3 nights there…one of which was LARGE and in the bed during the middle of the night. We had a water emergency and it took us 4 calls and over 30 minutes combined of our morning to even get someone to answer the phone (even their emergency line). Luckily the water issue was the shower would not turn off, but the water was contained to the bathtub. Otherwise the entire upstairs would have flooded before anyone answered the phone. As a result we only had the very tiny shower to use (master bath was out of commission) for 2/3 of our stay. The agency felt $60 NZ was an amount that we should have been grateful for. I was not overjoyed with this based on the level of the issue, but also did not want to waste any more holiday time dealing with them. Summary: house is in a great spot but until it is under different management with better cleaning I would not stay here again.
