Hotel Tiara

I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. It offers great value for the money. It is located in the city centre. The room was spacious, clean, and had air conditioning, which came in handy because of the high temperatures in the city. The breakfast was a buffet, and it was good.

The hotel seems recently renovated, except maybe the lobby area & the staircase. The rooms looked good, comfortable and clean.

The breakfast looked a little sad- there were just a few people checked in, so not a lot of food layed out. I strongly suggest having a small a la carte menu for times when the hotel is not very full.

We had to stay in Ploiesti for a little and the hotel is in town center, hence the location, but other than that, it was below our standards.

Mostly everything, as mentioned in other comments you only get a room on the second floor and the hotel has no lift, the bathroom is incredibly tiny, you barely fit in, the room despite looking as might have had recent renovation, it provides a bed and a small tv. There is also a small tv and hanging wires from the ceiling, guessing no one mounted the smoke detectors and you can smell the smoke if you come into the room. The staff is the definition of unprofessional, we were asked to take our own payment, as the lady was not even capable of that, some were either having a chill cigarette at the back of the reception desk or watching TV or arguing with guests. Would not recommend the hotel at all!
