Beautiful hotel with some issues, technical and regarding extra charges

Modern Hotel, well maintained

The room could be slightly better, window was hard to open and the drain had some issue, as the shower and toilet could not be used in parallel. Additionally the Spa was not included in our room rate.. that's weird, because previous reviews stated otherwise. For a stay at the nearby themepark the Airbnbs are probably the better and yet cheaper option.

Highly recommendable.

The location is excellent, if you like peace. Late in the evening, standing outside, you don't hear a thing apart from the odd animal. It's the perfect setting for an evening stroll. The menu in the restaurant is set, so you don't get to choose, but what you get is excellent. It's certainly a place to recommend.

The atmosphere was great, relaxed and quiet. Parking was easy

Good location in a natural area, perfect for walking and biking.

A complete failure for a 4-star hotel. The “Do Not Disturb” sign is confusing for both guests and staff, if you want to sleep in, you have to hang a “Do Not Clean My Room” sign, which wasn’t our intention. After being woken by housekeeping on the first day, we used the sign and later asked staff to clean the room. Despite reassurances, it was never cleaned during our 3-day stay, and we had to repeatedly ask, almost beg, for fresh towels and coffee, which we received reluctantly. The spa, which we paid extra for, was unattended and unclean: an empty cup in the sauna, scattered towels, and toilet paper in the outdoor pool. No clean cups were available after the sauna, posing a likely health hazard. We also paid for a “gourmet” dinner, but courses arrived at one-hour intervals. The food was disappointing and overpriced at €57 per person not including drinks, the pepper sauce was too salty, and the tiramisu was stale.

The location was secluded in a quiet location but had good road links to get around. The hotel itself was nice, both inside and outside, with a welcoming feel. The dining areas were arranged well, with plenty of room between tables, making it feel more personal. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Finally, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful throughout my stay.

Trauma

I was being disrespected when I got there with my partner. They are racist. I go there and a white lady brought out her phone from the reception and started videoing and recoding me and my partner. We didn’t feel safe, we have to quickly and immediately check out of the hotel and drive back home to Netherlands

2 hours worth of sleep, not more.

Location is beautiful, in the middle of a rural area. I was hoping for some peace and quietness. That did not happen. Parking is easy, plenty of space.

Reception and NOISE during the night which resulted in zero rest! I arrived late and reception was unmanned. Phone instructions were useless as phone did not work. You then need to find a waiter in the restaurant willing to 'go find someone'. Until 2 AM, people were bouncing around (I assume on a wooden floor somewhere) and dragging furniture over the floor. First I thought it was a rowdy neighbor, but since it started again at 4 AM, I assume it was staff in the adjoining bar/restaurant.

Good for a wedding stay

Very impressive hotel. Wellness was absolutely top! Everything was present for a good wellness. Breakfast was perfect and plenty to choose from! Pancakes,fresh fruit,eggs, bacon,... you name it was there! Lots to walk around the hotel too.

Pool was very small. Not really good for a morning swim. The room we had was very empty. There was nothing on the walls, only one hook yo hang up jackets and nothing that made the room cozy to be in. Bathroom had a weird heater that only stayed on for 30min.

A very nice hotel with recently refurbished spacious hotel rooms, great beds and a wonderful wellness centre. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The light and the ventilator in the bathroom go out automatically but that takes some time before you find out how it works.

Beautiful building and surroundings. The interior is very nice. The staff was very helpful.

The outdoor spa wasn't opened, I was looking forward to it sadly. It seemed like there was a shortage of staff, because there were towels, empty plastic cups everywhere in the spa. The room we got on the first night was right next to the entrance, the room had so no sound proof so we could hear people talking (they were speaking at normal volume) at 3am. The staff was very helpful and changed the room afterwards, but I lost one night of sleep.
