Great location and facilities for a stay in Gothenburg

Lisebergsbyn was an excellent site to stay at during my recent visit to Gothenburg to attend a two-week course. I stayed within the most basic cottage category, that does not include a bathroom inside the cottage, however I was pleased with the accommodation provided. I stayed at the site during the peak of the winter, with temperatures reaching -17*c outside, but I was never cold inside, with more than adequate heating being provided in both the cottage and the service buildings. The site is located nearby to Welandergatan Tram Stop, providing convinient connections into Central Gothenburg within twenty to thirty minutes. I particularly appreciated the dishwasher inside the service building - it made cleaning the dishes an ease!

My stay was great overall, but there were a couple of small things that I think could be improved upon. Firstly, I feel that the Laundry Room was a little bit pricey – costing 120 SEK for 2-hours use. Secondly, I noticed that there was room for improvement in the cleaning of the floor in one of the two cottages that I checked into whilst staying at the park. My final point is it would be great if instructions could be provided on how to adjsut the temperature in the cottage, as it was preset to 25*c on arrival, which was a bit too warm compared to the temperatures I am used to from my home country (the UK). I did figure how to change the temperature eventually, but only after one or two nights of finding it a bit too warm to sleep properly.

Basic, but good stay

Perfect location for the race I was participating in. In winter, there is almost no one. So it's nicely silent. Breakfast is very good.

Good value for the money, cozy and convenient place to stay when travelling alone.

Very affordable and comfortable to have the whole cottage to myself when traveling solo. Room was clean and warm despite the cold weather. The kitchenette was very convenient and had all the necessary stuff (stove and pots, microwave, dishes). Out-of-hours key collection was hassle-free.

The bed was quite narrow for my preference. Different trash collection points had different sets of bins for sorting the trash, which was not apparent from the site map.

Previous guest didn’t make the dishes good enough. Can’t blame the place for something the guest should have done properly. And it was actually well provided to do such a small thing properly.

Great location and friendly staff.and a well organised place.

The lodges were lovely, we stayed in one which was smaller which we hadn't realised when booking with two adults and a baby and toddler. The staff helped and we're.veru attentive. One of the ladies suggested we could move to a bigger lodge mid stay which we did and was a better size. The accommodation was great and location brilliant only a short tram journey away from alot of attractions. The staff especially Johan couldn't be any more helpful and accommodating our requests. My son loved the little park.

Unfortunately due to being on a site there was a few noise issues. One night there was a group of youths (around 20/30 - 15 year olds) singing and chanting very loudly for half an our then they must have been moved on by the group leaders. Another night we had an issue where the neighbouring lodge were up late talking and laughing until 1.30am. These things are more about people staying there rather than the place itself and staff as we couldn't fault either.

A pleasant camp surrounded by woods with a good public transport connection to the city centre.

The staff could be more pleasant and informative and the wi-fi was useless, which was a problem since the mobile network reception was poor.

Very nice location near to Tram and very peaceful best place if u wanna enjoy ur weekend and holidays away from city..Weather was very nice and cold in end of the august. Will come again.

Wifi was very poor sometimes not available.There was confusion during check in but it was partially sorted as we booked 2 bunk beds but physically was not available.Bed Linens and towels were also not available but we didn't asked as we checked in late.

Our cabin was perfect for our family of 3. The playground at the premises was great and the connection to the city centre by tram was super convenient. The Tempo grocery store just a few hundred metres from the location was open for a long time every day and had a decent selection of food.items.available, which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend for families and adventurers.

Loved everything - cabin had everything we needed, it was calm and quiet, tram stop and grocery store nearby, beautiful surroundings. Definitely coming back!

The stay overall was amazing, except the arrival. We arrived after checking in hours and informed the staff a couple of days prior through booking.com messages, but we got no answer. On the day of arrival I wrote an email directly to the property, and got an answer that we will get a code for the key collection on the day of arrival (which was THE day already). When we landed at the airport after 6pm, there was still no email or information, how we will be able to check in. Calling the given number on Google and on Booking didn't work, since it was after reception working hours. Only when we arrived at the property, there was a phone number on the door and we were able to contact the staff member, who quickly gave us the code and check in was easy after that. But flying to another country, not knowing if you are be able to check in to your room, is not a nice feeling.

Highly insecure as the reception is closed during the holidays. No emergency help and security facilities (no peepholes and cctv and the doors don’t have locks TAT). So we checkout one day earlier.

Beautiful grounds, fast check in/out and a cosy stay.

The campground was in a great location, near a tram stop that made it easy to navigate. The cabin was warm and comfortable. There are beautiful trails and a lake within 2km of the grounds, which offered a lovely place to relax. Checking in and out was very easy too.

There were no fly screens and we could not open the windows because we had several wasps enter the cabin daily. A kettle to make tea with would have been great too. We had to go out to buy cleaning supplies as none were provided and the dishes were filthy so we had to wash them before we could prepare a meal.
