The hotel has a great location, in the northern part of the capital Las Palmas. From LPA airport to Santa Catalina bus station in Las Palmas is 26 km and you can take public transport, line 60 or 91. From the station in Santa Catalina to the airport it is about 30-40 minutes drive, price 3 euros, payment by cash or card.
The hotel is only 200 meters from Las Canteras beach, and 15 minutes walk from the main bus station of Santa Catalina. A car rental agency is across the street. An organized tour agency is around the corner.
There are small restaurants, shops, a shopping center and a local market in the area.
The hotel offers breakfast and a 24-hour reception. The rooms are small, with a balcony, always clean, equipped with a TV, refrigerator and basic hygiene supplies. Wifi signal is good.
The breakfast is basic, but you can arrange fried eggs for an additional fee. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
The rooms facing the street are more noisy, mainly because of the restaurant across the street that organizes parties (especially on weekends).
The hotel offers homely accommodation at a friendly price. The hotel is family-owned and by staying there you support the local community.
I recommend the hotel to independent travelers, as it is a great "base camp" for exploring the island.
Public bus transportation is well organized to all tourist places on the island. However, for hiking trips to the interior of the island, it is better to rent a car.

Very conveniently located, from local busses to food spots, beach and other attractions. Great staff, clean rooms, good wifi. However, if you planning to have a nap in the day, make sure to put 'do not disturb sign on' because they will not leave you to nap.
