Great room and bathroom, excellent value for a top class 5 star hotel. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and polite, particularly Niyazi OK on reception. The location is also very good and a short walk to all the major sights in the old City. The restaurant is also very high quality with a terrific breakfast.

There are single sex times only for the spa and gym with the day divided in two. The hotel is also alcohol free but there a large number of local bars and restaurants.

This was without a doubt one of the most enjoyable stays I have had. The location is excellent and central to most tourist attractions. Istanbul is quite hilly so if you’re going to mostly walk then this is ideal. The hotel itself is a step above the rest. From the decor to the ambience to the room itself there was nothing to critique as the attention to detail and beauty surpassed expectations. But any holiday is judged not only on the accomodation but the people and in this I have rarely come across the level of hospitality as provided by staff here. The warmest greeting on arrival, delicious sherbet and having our room already ready was a bonus after a long flight. The breakfast is lovely serving a more traditional fare and the gentleman in charge in the mornings ( sorry I forgot his name) was so warm and helpful. Special mention must go to the Bell Captain Aytec and his bell team. They were always quick with a warm smile and greeting, helpful with directions and are a credit to the hotel. The small gesture of a present as we were leaving was unexpected but it goes to show how much the entire staff make you feel like family when you are there. I really didn’t want to hand in our keys and checkout - definitely the only place I’ll be staying in Istanbul when I come back!

Area around the hotel wasn’t nice. Also found it ridiculous the hours for the pool and fact that men and women were separated. The family hours: when we could have all enjoyed the pool were 22.00 - 24.00 which is madness. So although it had a nice pool etc was never able to use it.
