Boutique Hotel Green Lobster

The location was very convenient, within walking distance of both the old town, Petri, library and the castle. Just be prepared for an uphill walk when returning from the old town. :) The house itself felt truly authentic, with narrow staircases, wooden beams, and plenty of historic charm. The reception area was very welcoming and homely, and the staff were extremely friendly. It was also possible to park directly in front of the house which was very convenient. The reception helped us with that.

A few details may be helpful for future guests. We booked a maisonette, and it looked quite different from the rooms with the beautiful ceilings shown in some of the Booking.com photos. This was partly our own oversight, so it is worth checking the room photos and description carefully before booking. The lift only goes up to the third floor, and the final floor must be reached via a narrow staircase. With big suitcases might be challenging. The rooms were also a little darker and smaller than we expected. The pillow was quite low for my preference, and the shower area was rather compact. None of these points spoiled our stay, but they may be useful to know in advance.

First and the most important - people who works in hotel, reception manager LinA Gl. explained us how to find placof interest in Prague, recommended a very tasty restaurant, was polite and catered to our evry need. Ladies from the dining room, were so helpful and polite. I don't see that often. Now, the room was gorgeous, it had air conditioner, the furniture - chairs, bed were superb. The breakfast was very delicious - eggs, cheeses, blinches, yogurt, fish, sausages, and more for everyone. The dining room was visually very pleasing.

The hotel has prime location near ols city of Prague and requires a bit of climbing. Our room was a third floor and it was somewhat difficult to climb.

Location was good in terms of the distance from the palace. Buffet staff was very friendly.

The furniture in the room was very old. There was no key to the room, I had to dial in a passcode every time I entered. The reception only works from 7am till 7pm. The bathroom was not very clean, there was only boiler there which is not the most conducive to taking a nice hot shower. Towels were old, bedding had some old stains on it. The sliding door between the entrance space and the room itself was very heavy and apparently malfunctioning because opening and closing it was an ordeal.
