5 star hotel facilities should be flawless (common terrace had impellers laying down, some stained chairs) While welcome / front desk employees were pleasant - everyone was laid back - chatting... we had to always ask for attention when asking questions... The main dining room employees did not fit 5 star hotel- while working hard, they lack any finesse...

Location was brilliant very close walk to the town and hotels golf buggy’s were great not having to walk up the hill each time.

Wouldn’t rate as a 5star hotel rooms were very basic and pool was run down the hotel in a bad need of a refurbishment. Buffet dinner was basically Inedible. Breakfast was decent.

- The view over the sea is superb - The breakfast has a lot of choice - Nice walks around the bay - The beach area is lovely - Very clean at all times - Pool bar staff were great - Quiet rooms - There is a buggy available to take you up and down the hill if needed

- Asked for an iron at beginning of week but there were none available - said one would be brought up when available but didn't get one the whole week - Breakfast tables take ages to be cleared so had to ask to be able to sit down at a clean table - No free water in room - Minibar has crazy prices! - Use on conditioner and shampoo as the hotel ones made my hair extremely greasy

Location of the hotel was great, it was clean and reception smelt divine! There was a buggy service down to the town or you could walk if feeling up to it. There were 132 steps which we walked up/down every day, great for improving your fitness! Great choice of food for half board, breakfast was lovely & nice to be able to sit outside in the mornings/evenings. Staff were friendly, room was lovely.

The one thing I would say was the entertainment in the Piano bar could be a bit more upbeat. The guy sang well but could have sung happier songs otherwise FAB week!

The location is outstanding and the views amazing. We found it to be very clean and kept to a high standard.

The bathing platform and pool was very busy and sunbeds too close together. The service was great in reception but we found the service at breakfast dreadful ( although one or two members of staff were lovely ) and the service and food in Spinaker was average. Overall we found the service let the hotel down.

Rooms we had were a little tired - carpets were stained - bathroom tap was hard to operate as worn/hard to lift. The waiting staff in restaurant and bar staff were indifferent - they were not attentive or acknowledged your existence, so much so you had to seek them out to have coffee/tea at breakfast. They were on their phones at times so disengaged with the tasks required. We were on a half board basis but only ate in the hotel the first evening as the food lacked what you would expect from this class of hotel and was barely warm, which is a concern from a health point of view. Breakfast was more than sufficient though.

The breakfast buffet was crowdy, a lot of ‘package holidays’. The hotel was a bit overpriced taking into account the room which has not been updated since the early 2000s.

Firstly the great thing, Location - 10 minutes from the airport, on a hill side with beautiful views and a short walk to Cavtat Marina/ old town.

Unfortunately there’s a few things I think are important to write about: 1. The buffet - this was of low standard, lacked options and it was the same every morning. The only fresh item was omelet made to order and fried eggs. It got boring very quickly! 2. On check in, we wasn’t told about the “beach” at the back of the hotel on the hill side, we stumbled across it on our last day and it was beautiful with access by steps and a small ladder into the sea. A real shame to have missed out on! 3. There’s no aircon in the hallways of the rooms so it’s rather stuffy. 4. The lifts don’t work properly, they take ages and often don’t display the floor they’re on inside the lift so you don’t know if you’ve gone up or down! 5. The bedroom was small - it had one small wardrobe and no draws, bedside cabinets or other storage so we had to live out of a suitcase (a couple). 6. Whilst we enjoyed the walks, it would’ve been nice to have been informed there was a buggy option for getting around. 7. The bedroom TV mostly had foreign channels, rarely anything English available and the Netflix button doesn’t work (they don’t have it available to guests). They do have a movies section, but priced at 9.99 per film if I’m not mistaken so not worth it. 8. In general, the layout of the hotel was odd. I don’t know how to explain this but it felt muddled. Ie floor 9 wasn’t actually 9 up and floor 5 had the pool but it was a long walk through random corridors inside. 9. We found that we had to ask rather than be served in the bar and main restaurant, if we wanted tea or coffee in the morning we’d have to find a server and at the bar by the piano they never come to our table we had to keep getting up. The service in the steak restaurant was better though. I personally would not give it a 4*, it’s lacking luxury and ease. Whilst I enjoyed my stay because of where we were, this hotel didn’t wow me at all in any area.

This was our second visit to the hotel and it was absolutely (once again) amazing. Staff were friendly and good-humored, the breakfast was delicious and had a wide range of foods. No words to describe the beauty of the sea and the view of every single corner of the hotel. Overall we had a relaxing and very a satisfying holiday, and will definitely plan a new journey as soon as possible😊 By the way, the guy named “Pero” who organized our transfers to&from the hotel was very kind and friendly. Best wishes to him from our hearts☺️

The floors down from the 5th definitely need a renovation. Our friends stayed at the 5th floor and the newly renovated room was very nice indeed.

Room service didn’t top up milk in the room despite calling room service I also feel the hotel should have designated smoking/vaping areas and smoking shouldn’t be allowed near the pool and anywhere near sunbeds

The location of the property was perfect, easy walking to the beach or short trip in the cart. Room was spacious and view was great.

The food wasn’t good or bad. But for a 5 star hotel I would expect more. The level of service from the waiters was poor. After 1 drink they didn’t bother to ask if we like another drink. They was more interested in taking away plates than customer service.

More buggies to transport guests up & down the steep drive. Not a spoiler but could improve. Not enough room around the pool for such a large hotel, plenty of space on their beach area

Location of the hotel is excellent , Cavtat is a beautiful little town with friendly locals and a good selection of nice restaurants. The hotel is well equipped and breakfast is good - lots of variety.

Sometimes there weren’t enough sun loungers by the pool or waterfront.

Location excellent with walking access to small town with numerous restaurants on the port. Private access to sea with loungers and umbrellas included; Restaurant on promenade; Buggy transfer down steep access to promenade available but not reliable; Pools good; Breakfast good; Evening meal adequate.Balcony sea facing.

Requested double bed and this was agreed in advance but received 2 single beds put together side by side with double bed sheets but 2 small single bed duvets. No walk in shower. Bath with shower always less than ideal.

The hotel staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Facilities brilliant and our rooms were newly renovated with a great balcony view of the bay. Would definitely recommend.

Impersonal style, some staff were rude.

Have stayed here twice and love everything about this hotel. Firstly the staff are friendly and really accessible for guests, nothing is a problem for them and they make you feel welcome. The location is great, quiet and relaxed but also close to the town. The facilities and rooms are really good, and well maintained.

No major dislikes but my only small suggestion would be better food selection for breakfast. The quality is okay but doesn’t change much.

Our 6th visit to our favourite hotel. Delighted to stay in a newly refurbished room, really lovely and well finished. Facilities excellent as usual.

No complaints. Will be back next year!
