Boutique Hotel Sa Galera

We received a very warm welcome and were given great recommendations for places and beaches to visit based on our preferences. Our room was lovely, with a spacious bathroom and a balcony overlooking lots of trees, making it a very peaceful and quiet place to relax. We also had two large windows that opened onto a smaller balcony, where we enjoyed seeing the two horses on the property every morning. The pool area was lovely, and there were always plenty of sun loungers available, so there was no need to wake up early to reserve one with a towel. It's a very cozy boutique hotel with several inviting seating areas and a restaurant where you can enjoy dinner under twinkling lights. The breakfast wasn't anything extraordinary, but it offered a good variety of options, and the selection of fruit and cold cuts changed daily. You'll definitely need a car to explore the nearby towns and beaches, which are about 15–20 minutes away. However, it was wonderful to return each evening to such a peaceful place, where we could relax and get a good night's sleep.

We would have preferred to have a fan in the room, as it wasn't really possible to adjust the air conditioning to make the room cool enough for our liking. I didn't have the best experience at the restaurant. We had to wait almost an hour for our food, and the shrimp pasta I ordered was far too salty. The staff did their best to fix the dish, which I appreciated, but by that point I had lost my appetite. My boyfriend ordered the steak with potatoes, and he really enjoyed his meal. It may simply have been an off day for the kitchen, as we had intended to give the restaurant another try. However, we also wanted to explore some of the many other restaurants in the area, so we never got the chance.

A very peaceful quiet location surrounded by farms and countryside. The staff were all charming and helpful.

Our room was in the old part of the building which was very beautiful, but because it had the original very tiny 13th century window the room itself was very dark. Luckily we had the use of a separate open balcony area which we could use to read, relax and play cards. Also the hot water was never 'hot' - again maybe due to being in the original part of the building. Breakfast was not included - it was an extra 15 euros per person per night.
