The food and beverage service and The Level Club, completely inadequate by Melià's standards, which are always so attentive to quality and customer satisfaction, have been demolished at this property! I stayed there during Valentine's Day, even though I hadn't booked for that purpose, and the day later but unfortunately, I discovered that, for a business opportunity, a property of this caliber was, in my opinion, completely undermined by the influx of guests who were certainly not suited to the location—let's say "one-off"—and completely transformed the atmosphere of the establishment. Furthermore, for the event, we were grouped with a group who had purchased a special anniversary package at a very remote restaurant, preventing us from accessing the main restaurant, in a truly utopian scenario! Moreover the staff was very approximative. Nobody replies to your room calls in case of needs. For example, to solve the problem with my safebox in the room that didn't works I called three times without success and asked at the reception twice before someone decided to solve it... FIVE STARS HOTEL!... More than 5 calls, One for each star. I don't think I'll ever stay at this hotel again. A real shame! The splendid location and the renowned Melià brand shouldn't allow such a situation. Scandalous! An inspection maybe could help to solve the several managing lacks...

Room was cold as no heating but Maintenance turned A/C off which helped. Weather very wet and cold.

Long cold corridors to room - weather was the problem

The pool area is very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The whole complex is very nice.

The service in the bar was very bad. Table service only, I waited for nearly 45 minutes to order on Saturday afternoon. Not very good. The breakfast was quite poor as there were hardly any hot options. I arrived at 9.45am and food was not being replenished. I checked in at 12 noon and was told my room was ready but hasn’t been released. I was not notified until 4.30pm my room was available. Despite having the key wristband the whole time. I could not find my room and bellboy staff were very unhelpful. It took me 20 mins to locate my room. Bar food was of a very poor standard and cold.

It’s visually very beautiful. Very clean. The village feel is great. The beach area is especially nice. Evening entertainment was good. The Mexican snack bar at the beach was fantastic - friendly, professional staff. Great cocktails and food.

It’s a big property on many levels so it was quite tiring for my elderly mother. Breakfast in the buffet restaurant was ok, but dinner was awful - cold food. Very expensive too. We were unable to book the a la carte restaurant on one of the evenings and the hotel is isolated so no options to go out for food, unless you’re willing to drive or take a taxi. The AC in the rooms is very loud, so you either have to put up with the noise or the heat, if you turn it off. Drinks service during the evening entertainment in the Plaza was extremely slow. If you are booking for a group, you might be surprised to find out your group is split into different hotels. There are 2 hotels on the same site and this is not clear when booking on booking.com. - It’s very confusing.

The buffet restaurant is mediocre at best. Stay away from half board and stick to the à la carte-restaurants.
