The Chequers Inn

Our room was lovely. The view from our window was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was gorgeous.

Nothing!

Family room, another bed added as per request so no one had to share a bed. Nice selection of coffee for machine and biscuits and bottled water in room. Couldn't have any though as cant use the long life milk sachets. Staff filled up our water bottles at the bar.

Breakfast could have been better, no fruit selection or yogurts out, although this was a breakfast choice on menu, so if you had that from menu one assumes that was your breakfast. No pastries that you sometimes have in other b&b breakfasts Staff were very busy for evening meal, not very welcoming (maybe they were short staffed, who knows) despite having booked a table in advance so eventually had to chase to ask for table and then again for drinks and to order food.

Big parking, good food

No sockets working in the room, no tv, and no coffee machine able to use.

Breakfast service was poor and not served until after 9am Late bringing out water and juices and milk. No pastries at all or yoghurt or fruit. Had to ask for butter, tongs for the toast (which were dirty). Male staff was indifferent. Dinner was cold and part of it was sent back. Had to walk all the way round to the other side of the bar to tell someone. Ants running around on our table. Blonde waitress was a bit surly in her manner.
