Parkhotel Hachenburg

The hotel is not so easy to get to but worth the effort. Beautiful hotel ,beautiful view from the terrace. Dinner was great. I can only recommend this hotel.

Super familiäres und freundliches Klima. Die Rezeptionistin hat einem jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Die Lage ist fantastisch, insbesondere der Ausblick auf das Tal von der Terrasse aus. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und frisch. Auch vegane Produkte werden angeboten. Besonders hat mit gefallen, dass im Badezimmer auch Hygieneprodukte (Shampoo, conditioner, Seife, Wattestäbchen etc.) in guter Qualität vorhanden waren. Das ist leider nicht mehr so Standard, daher war hier die Freude umso größer. Wir kommen immer wieder gern dort hin.

Zu kurzer Aufenthalt

This is a beautiful property. It’s a little out of the way from the main town, but the stunning views make up for it, making it easy to see why it's a prime location for weddings and events. Aside from the front desk staff at check-in, the rest of the hotel team was wonderfully accommodating and pleasant. The food was also impressive. Breakfast was very good—shoutout to the crispy bacon, which you hardly ever find anymore! We also had lunch after checking out, which featured a great variety of options and fresh salads. It was a delicious end to our trip.

Incredibly disappointed with the check-in service at this hotel. Two months prior to arrival, I secured a confirmation that our two rooms would be close together or on the same floor, as we were traveling with young children. Instead, we were split across different floors. To add insult to injury, we had to wait 45 minutes at check-in while the lone receptionist rearranged multiple (4) rooms for the two guests ahead of us to suit their preferences. Yet, when it was our turn, my inquiry about our own confirmed room placement was met with a blunt, "we are fully booked." When I pointed out the contradiction, the receptionist literally ignored my question and just handed over our keys. While I understand the front desk was understaffed and the receptionist was likely overwhelmed by the growing line, it does not excuse a complete lack of basic customer service and a blatant disregard for a confirmed family booking. Highly unprofessional.

The hotel is in a nice area with parks, oldtown and hiking routes nearby. The rooms were modern and there was enough space.

The lack of staff was really noticeable. There was only 1 person at the reception most of the time, and this lady was really helpful and did her best but she definitely needed some extra hands. The service was terrible at the bar and restaurant, they also seemed understaffed. The food was not good for the price we paid. The wellness area was very neglected, the water was everywhere on the floor (there was zero staff at the wellness) and the pool was stinking of sweat. One of the 3 saunas was always off even though it was crowded. We were very disappointed, using the wellness being the main reason for choosing this hotel.
