If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway, this house is wonderful. We had a great time with family. The house has everything you could need, and we were in and out of the lake each day, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, etc. Accommodations were really comfortable, and it was refreshing to stay somewhere that provided all the necessities and we weren't shepherding basic items in our car.The elevated porch was a perfect place to spend the evenings. We drove to some hiking trails, but otherwise didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. I also want to provide a shoutout to the owners/property manager. When we arrived, there was a hornets nest under the porch, and they sent someone out immediately to take care of it. Thank you!!Enjoy!

Cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of towel, beds were comfortable, kitchen had plenty of plates, spoon, forks etc

We wanted a quiet fall getaway for a small business retreat where we could just relax and enjoy ADK nature at it's best.We are a small group of dog trainers and were looking for a place that would welcome our well-behaved dogs and also provide amenities they could enjoy too. This place was perfect! We went during the week and there was hardly anyone else around. The dogs loved swimming in the lake while we used the kayak and we all enjoyed walks on the private road leading into the cabin.The VRBO photos made the cabin seem bigger than it was but honestly that was not an issue for us at all. Just a slight shift in expectations when we first walked in. There was more than enough room for all 4 humans and 3 dogs and would have been spacious enough if we had twice that. The cabin was very clean and well kept. The updated kitchen and master bathroom was perfect! We spent a most of our time on the main level with the covered porch when we weren't outside. The view was lovely at all times of day. We will definitely be returning. Some of our group would love to return separately with their children since it was also seemed to be very kid-friendly.
