The Kayana Beach Lombok

Beautiful property. The views from the beach and restaurant are stunning, especially the sunset! Clear ocean water that is great for swimming. Note that most of the beach area in front of the hotel is full of local fishing boats, but there is a section on the right side for hotel guests that is clean and has a few loungers & umbrellas. It is a very peaceful, quiet and secluded property. Great private pool and outdoor space in villa that is very private. Nice loungers. Pool was the perfect temp for cooling off. Air conditioning worked well and bed was comfortable. We did not use the main hotel pool, but it looked nice and inviting. Delicious & generous a la carte breakfast at restaurant that was included with our booking and excellent service from restaurant staff. The papaya jam was amazing! Dinners we ate at the restaurant were also high quality (a little on the pricier side, especially alcohol). Complimentary one-time shuttle to and from Senggigi was appreciated, but it would be nice if it was offered daily to guests. Gym was clean and also had an amazing view, but was sparse (only a treadmill, bike & 2 free weights). Overall, we had a wonderful time here and would stay again!

The villa could have been a bit cleaner and was in need of a deep clean / overall aesthetic maintenance, as a result of normal wear and tear. Restaurant drinks were expensive and since the hotel is too far to walk to a store and no sidewalk on the busy road anyway (which is why its so peaceful), it would have been nice to have a bigger mini fridge in the villa that we could adjust to a cooler temperature and have more room to store our own beverages and extra water (we drink more water daily than what was complimentary). We were lucky that the hotel wasn’t very busy during our stay, so we easily got a lounger on the beach and perfect views at restaurant, but that may not have been the case if the hotel was busier with more guests. It is unfortunate the call to prayer is so loud at 5am and that garbage is burned in the area every evening, but we appreciate the hotel has no influence over these matters and are simply noting them for future guests.

Very chilled vibe and super friendly staff with easy access to the beachfront and restaurant. Lovely spa & gym. Repeat stay.

The host hospitality and services were impeccable. The Blues restaurant at the top of the cliff gives the best sunset view you could ever imagine. Food and villa were all great.
