The Space:
Villa Fontana is a spectacular three-level home that features 3 bedrooms - located on the 2nd and 3rd floors and accessible via stairs - 2.5 bathrooms, and a spacious terrace with beautiful fountain views. Remodeled from top to bottom, you will appreciate the clean and modern feel Villa Fontana offers. You’ll love the fully equipped kitchen with counter space overlooking the dining area, living room, and the large terrace with views of the professionally landscaped grounds. The beach is within walking distance!
Villa Fontana includes AC, TV, cable, internet, washer/dryer, beach chairs, and a cooler. Villa Fontana includes one parking space.

LIVING AREAS
The Villa has a contemporary open concept layout that connects the living room, dining, kitchen, and terrace. All the living areas are on the first floor of the Villa with abundant windows so you always have views of palm trees, the manicured grounds, and a very relaxing fountain. There is a flat-screen TV with cable in the living room with comfortable seating for 6 adults and full A/C. There is also seating for 4 adults on the lovely terrace. There is a half bathroom on this level.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Villa Fontana includes three bedrooms, all located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, accessible exclusively by stairs. We kindly advise extra care for children and individuals who may find stairs challenging.
The master suite - located on the 3rd floor - has 1 king bed with a fully renovated bathroom, closet, a smart TV, and AC. It also has a furnished private balcony with an ocean view.
The 2nd bedroom - located on the 2nd floor - has 1 tastefully appointed queen bed, closet, smart TV, AC, and a full bathroom that is shared with the 3rd bedroom.
The 3rd bedroom - located on the 2nd floor - has 1 bunk bed (two twin beds) and an extra twin bed., closet space, and AC.
Both bathrooms include complimentary organic amenities and plush resort-style towels.
PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):
We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.
KITCHEN
Villa Fontana has a very modern, clean, fully stocked, and comfortable kitchen. The kitchen has a counter space that is ideal for serving meals buffet style. The 4-person dining table is conveniently located adjacent to the kitchen so cooking and dining can become one large social event. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave oven, stovetop, coffee maker, and toaster.
GETTING AROUND & PARKING
The property includes one (1) assigned parking spot.
Renting a car is a must when staying in Dorado. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants, shops, and beaches as well as to explore the rest of the island.
LOCATION
Villa Fontana is located at Villas de Playa II within Dorado del Mar, a beautiful community in Dorado Puerto Rico that is well known for its gorgeous tropical grounds and beach access. Dorado del Mar is home to the Embassy Suites by Hilton. This is a safe and gated community that is great for families and anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Villa Fontana is a 45-minute drive from San Juan and the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport.
Besides enjoying the beautiful villa and all amenities on offer, there are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites:
Explore the local culinary scene with everything from local Puerto Rican food to excellent Italian and Asian options.
Dorado del Mar has its own casino - The Blue Dolphin Casino! Villa Fontana is ideal for those who want to enjoy the casino nightlife and then retreat to a comfortable space less than a 10 minute drive from the action.
Road trip to the Cerro Gordo or Dorado public beaches. Both of these are long sandy beaches that are well protected from swell and are a 5-minute drive from the villa.
Explore the Camuy Caves – a huge cave system about an hour's drive away that is home to the third-longest underwater river in the world.
Spend a day in Old San Juan, a 35-minute drive away and the oldest city in all of the US.

We stayed a week. There were a few things that required attention from Karen and she was super responsive. The place is in a great location and you can walk to the beach in a few minutes. Beds were comfortable. There is security and a gated access community. I would stay there again.

Villa Fontana is the perfect vacation rental to enjoy in Dorado. The property was really well maintained, cleaned, and equipped with anything you would need. We will definitely stay at Villa Fontana again. The checking process is super simple and well documented… also, the staff is really friendly and will guide you throughout the process if you were to need any help.

Best things about this place were:
-short walk to beach and pool
-beach has ample natural shade from trees
-safe neighborhood with lots of stores and restaurants a quick drive away
-was clean with comfortable beds
-host provided lots of towels, beach chairs, beach toys, pool noodles, plus coffee, filters, salt/pepper, cooking oil
-the AC worked beautifully, you could set your desired temperature in each room
A few issues to note:
-some of the photos posted were slightly inaccurate, for example the couch was different than the photo and was very worn with some stains, seating in the living room area overall was not very comfortable.
-several of the lights did not work initially, luckily we were able to rearrange as needed and find new lightbulbs in the cabinets
-the smart TV in the living room worked but some in the bedrooms did not. Perhaps remote needed batteries?
-the washer/dryer unit was in a closet on the front porch… so not in the unit, but still private and worked well.
-the kitchen had a toaster oven but not a full size oven. There was a microwave, stove top, fridge and dishwasher. The cookware was limited and not in great shape. Dishes were in good condition however limited in number so had do run dishwasher often.
-the beach nearby is a public beach so unfortunately some trash is left including beer bottle tops, plus there is natural debris from the trees. The sand near the water was nice enough for our kids to play in barefoot though & build sandcastles.

This is an apartment in Dorado in a gated community in a dorado Del Mar. When we retrieved the gate remote control, it fell apart and definitely has seen better days. Unsure why it wasn’t replaced earlier. The gate beeper didn’t work and we couldn’t enter the property or leave. Eventually we parked outside the community. After we went in, the apartment was not properly clean. We found a ball of hairs and floor felt slimy. The A/C broke and froze and started to leak. The property manager sent someone to repair it. The TV remotes didn’t work. The location is ok. Definitely needs a car and drive through the whole neighborhood to leave the complex. The pool was great. Overall, disappointed with the property. Needs TLC.
