The name says it all, The Hidden Hotel’ Once you go out back, there’s a huge deck with tables, lounge chairs, BBQs and even a jacuzzi!
Our suite was amazing with a huge living room with french doors opening onto the deck. It also had a beautiful wooden Japanese bath which was very welcome after golf.
We went out for dinner next i would stay there and BBQ on the deck. It’s like an oasis in the middle of a busy town.
The owner is interesting and very hospitable.
Will definitely go there again!

For the price, it’s a good place to stay for a couple of days. It has all amenities you need and the owner offers a shuttle service to Kawaguchiko station during check in/out.
The place is not built for tall people.

It was one of the cheaper places to stay. It was nice to be able to see Mt.Fuji from the same street. Free shuttle for check-in and check-out to the Kawaguchiko bus/train station. The guy who cleans, runs errands and does everything was veeery nice. Supermarket, ATM and some food options within 15min walking distance. Can do laundry, snacks/coffee/water available 24/7
You get what you paid for, the vibe is shady. He went through every single page of our passports before introducing himself.
The room, the bed was not comfortable, the ceiling is very low, the shower doors did not close entirely. The common/breakfast/garden area is an open space, it’s cold all the time. Would not recommend for families with children, anyone taller than 160cm, anyone who values comfort and smooth logistics.
The location is very far from the major sites, we ended up getting an uber to get around. Limited and average coffee/restaurant options nearby.
There is an option to rent bikes, which seems great for the first hour, but both bikes we got were faulty- one’s breaks were barely working, the other’s seat kept moving up, it was impossible to sit on it, we ended up walking back with bikes. When we told about the bikes, turns out he knew it already…
