Welcome to our Colorado mountain retreat, The Powder House at Cimarron. If you are looking for luxury Steamboat Springs, CO vacation rentals, our family vacation townhouse is an ideal choice. Located in the Cimarron at Steamboat development, a luxury vacation rental property a block from the gondola and base area of the ski mountain. Cimarron consists of twenty three privately-owned homes each reflecting the personal tastes of their owners.
The Powder House is a five bedroom townhouse with over 3200 square feet of living area and five and a half bathrooms. There are three master suites with king beds and one bedroom with a queen bed. The fifth bedroom has a bunk bed with a trundle bed underneath. Every bedroom has an HD flat screen television, clock radio and it's own en-suite bath. For the convenience and safety of our guests, The Powder House has a heated walkway, heated driveway and two car garage. The Cimarron complex features a recreation facility located in the center of the property with a heated pool and hot tub.
The design of the townhouse is a log post-and-beam style which perfectly reflects its Rocky Mountain location. The Powder House was constructed using a radiant floor heating system for those cold winter nights. You will notice the difference the first time you walk on the bare floor. Central air conditioning is a welcome option during warm summer days.
The Powder House is the perfect choice for a large family or several couples who enjoy sharing their mountain experience. In the slate-tiled entry foyer there is a sports equipment center that includes cubbies and coat hooks for storage of winter and summer gear. This level also includes two bedrooms and the washer and dryer.
At the top of the stairs, you enter the heart of our Steamboat town home. The great room has a vaulted two-story ceiling accented by an oversized stone fireplace. Adjacent to the fireplace is a fully-equipped bar with a wine cooler. Our abundant Colorado sunshine warms the interior of the house through the floor to ceiling windows. A 60' HD flat screen television is perfect for viewing your favorite movie or keeping tabs on your hometown team. It is set up to receive any streaming service: Netflix, Amazon, etc. In the Great Room is a game table for chess, checkers, Monopoly and backgammon. There is also a selection of board games and puzzles. We also furnish super-fast high speed WIFI (up to 400 Mbps) throughout the unit. This living space is the ideal gathering spot for family and friends after an exhilarating day on the slopes or tubing down the Yampa River.
Accessible through the great room is the outdoor balcony, which faces the interior of the complex. It is furnished with a table and chairs for relaxation or outdoor dining and a gas barbecue for grilling year round. We also have a private Hot Springs hot tub on the deck that is wonderful after skiing or on cool Summer nights.
The gourmet kitchen is equipped with a Viking gas six-burner stove and oven, quiet Bosch dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and microwave. Should you want to test your culinary skills, you will find the kitchen is supplied with almost every tool and gadget imaginable. If you have forgotten to bring along your favorite recipe, not to worry! We have a collection of local cookbooks.
The dining room seats 10 guests and another 4 at the kitchen counter. The European rustic-style table, chairs and dining room is the focal point for meals with family and friends. The view from the dining room window looks towards Emerald Mountain to the west and the splendid Colorado sunsets .
The Master bedroom suite is also located on the main floor. This king bedroom has a 40' HD flat screen television and a fireplace at the foot of your bed. The private bath is complete with Jacuzzi tub, double vanity and glass enclosed shower.
On the third floor is a loft which overlooks the entire living area of the main floor. We have furnished this area with a regulation 8' pool table and stools for late night entertainment. We also have a ping pong table in the heated garage.
There are two additional master suites on the upper level, each with a king bed and private bath. The view from the large windows in each suite looks directly to the ski area and gondola. Both bathrooms have a tiled shower with glass door and double vanity area. Every bedroom has an HD TV.

Had an excellent stay from start to finish. Easy checkin and close to mountain. Perfect family spot.

The manager John was excellent in responding when ever I called and the place was beautiful. It had plenty of extras including spices for cooking which was great. We were even able to check in a little early. Disappointed in a few things: There was no soap or shampoo in any of the bathrooms. The cleaning crew did however leave partially used bars of soap in 3 of the bathrooms which we found kind gross. John however brought us some bathroom supplies immediately.We also had a fair amount of ants in the basement bedrooms and there were also some ants on the main level. John did say they knew about the ants and are trying to resolve the problem soon.We were also disappointed that the pool temperature was 68 degrees and we were unable to use it the entire time we stayed after telling our 5 year old grand daughter that we were going to the pool.

This wonderful home was absolutely perfect for our family of 7 to spend Christmas week! The 3 K Bedroom ensuites, large kitchen and gathering room, pool table, and the family favorite - the Ping Pong table in the heated garage area! We hope to rent it again next year
