Relaxing lakefront Cabin on Lake Martin

The six of us really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice, clean & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc.. for cooking. The gas grill woked great for cooking our burgers & hotdogs. The AC kept us cool & comfortable. The wi-fi worked well (we didn't try or use the TV). On the outside everyone enjoyed the screened porch. The view of the lake from the porch was slightly obstructed with some low tree limbs, but those limbs also provided good shade. From the porch you could use the steps or the ramp to get down to the water. The ramp was a real plus & made things easier for my 80 year old dad. The pier had several slips you could use if you had a boat (but we didn't). It also had a floating section. Getting in & out of the water was easy. You could walk in & out from the shallow shoreline (water shoes recommended). Use the wood ladder mounted to the pier or just go in/out off the floating section. This part of the lake was really peaceful during our stay. We arrived on a Sunday & stayed 3 nights. We only saw 1 or 2 boats pass by each day.We look forward to staying here again.

Really enjoyed the visit

Beautiful home and open space in private cove of lake. The bedrooms are private and kitchen with plenty of cookware for entertaining. If you don't like a firm mattress than don't take the master bedroom. The hostess was so accommodating and made you truly feel at home. I would come back.

My husband and I stayed there for a short getaway trip while the lake was down. It was so quiet and peaceful and very relaxing and chilly - we had a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed roasting marshmallows. The house was very clean and tidy inside. There are lots of sweetgum trees and should be beautiful in the spring and summer when the lake is back at full pool. Laura was quick to respond and communicate with us. We look forward to a return visit in the summer.
