Inhabiting a 400-year-old farmhouse with unique architectural features and converted to a high-standard residence offering comfort, charm and relaxation, Dar tal-Kaptan features 4 themed suites, all with their own bathroom, private lounge area and outdoor terraces with fantastic views. Each exquisitely decorated suite has a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, air-conditioning and fans, Cable TV, a DVD player, wi-fi access, complimentary toiletries and towels.

1. Nostalgia Suite : sleeps 2
Cross the threshold into a bygone era......
Featuring authentic antique fin de siècle furniture, a solid brass bed, old patterned Maltese tiles and a Victorian bath tub in a curtained alcove near your bed, this romantic suite is nostalgic in every sense. Shower to an amazing view or sink into a scented bath and soak your aches away.

Our Nostalgia Suite features a double bed and sleeps two in a double bed. This suite would be great for a couple and features an ensuite bathroom with shower, a separate bath in the room, two WC’s a fridge, kitchenette, separate dining area and a small terrace with panoramic country view.

2. Serenity Suite - sleeps 2/3
Soothe your senses with restful relaxation......
This jewel-accented zen hideaway is a seamless fusion of Asian calm and Mediterranean-centredness. Dissolve into memory foam mattresses that mould their shape to your body and wake up to a walk-in power shower. Have a cup of herbal tea on your own private terrace with breathtaking valley views and a peek of the sea framed by the nearby lighthouse above.

The Serenity Suite is open-plan on two levels and has three beds. There are two beds with Tempur mattresses, which can stand alone as two single beds or one double bed. The sofa bed can sleep one person. The room features a lovely walk-in power shower, a large private terrace with panoramic country and sea views, a dining area and a kitchenette.

3. Tranquillity Suite - Sleeps 3
Colonial cool and winter warmth....
Arched vaults, limestone flagstones original Maltese and Gozitan artwork, stone niches and cane colonial furniture combine to ensure that your stay in this suite is as tranquil and stress free as can be. An annexe (which can be cordoned off to accommodate an extra bed and increased privacy) features a kitchenette, lounge and dining area plus access to two terraces with pool and sheltered valley views.

Our Tranquillity suite sleeps three people. Similar to Serenity, there are two beds that can stand alone, such as two single beds or one double bed. There is a walk-in ensuite shower and an annexe with a single bed (which can be cordoned off for privacy) with a seating/dining area featuring a sofa and kitchenette opening onto two terraces with country views.

4. Fantasy Suite - Sleeps 3
Indulge your inner child…..
Driftwood beach meets colourful candy store in this whimsical, magical suite which comes with its own spacious and private courtyard and access to a large sun terrace with country views. This suite consists of a mini flatlet with separate bedroom, lounge and kitchenette and bathroom.

Our Fantasy suite is smaller than the other two suites
However, it features a private courtyard and direct access up two flights of external stairs to a terrace with panoramic country views. Fantasy suite is divided into two rooms with an ensuite shower room between them. One room contains two beds with Tempur mattresses, which can be joined either into one double or two singles, and another room contains a lounge area and comfortable sofa bed that sleeps one/two.

Each suite has air conditioning, TV, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, and Wi-Fi.
