So clean so modern so big

Location isn’t the best but still good

nice spacious clean with great host. easy on-street parking. neighborhood not bad with food shops and restaurants relatively nearby. quiet. everything fine. as described. bus stop right very close to building, if only busses ran more timely. taxi to center not expensive.

can't think of anything. except my usual complaint about lack of handrails for bathroom. more than adequate.

- free public parking always possible nearby the apartment (we always found a place to park) - large apartment with 3 bedrooms, living room, small kitchen and bathroom with toilet (together) - apatment was fully equipped allowing for longer stay, in particular to be named: washing machine, iron, enough wardrobes - A/C in bedroom and living room - possibilty to prepare panini or fresh juice in the kitchen - the host was very friendly and helpful, solved promptly a wifi problem, asked about our wishes and took care of our comfort. Outstanding approach. - cafeteria, bakery, street market, small grocery shops nearby. One can go for fresh pastry, coffee or buy fresh vegetable. Very convenient. - comfortable non-squeeking bed in the bedroom - large living room with comfy sofa

- the apartment is quite far from city center and since the public transport in Palermo is very unreliable and working only until ca. 21:00, one can either walk to city center (ca 50-60 min) or rent an e-scooter (10-15 min/ ca 4€) - the host did not speak English, but we managed using google translator. In general, it is not usual that people speak English on Sicily (pity). - ants were in kitchen (ate our pizza the first night) and therefore we had to store all the food in the fridge. But the problem with ants is a general problem on Sicily, as we had it also in Catania. - the apartment is situated in the ground floor, so we better kept the sun blinds all the time down, as the neighbourhood was unknown for us. It made a bit challenging also the ventilation during the night. - there is a poor sound insulation between the floors, so we heard the neighbour upstairs walking and talking (luckily we went to bed late, when the neigbour was already sleeping, but we had to wake up with him/her at 7:45-8:00). Otherwise we heard neither loud music nor were not disturbed by other noise. - lack of sharp kitchen knives in the kitchen (only knives for butter were available). The host informed us that such knives will not be provided, so we had to buy the sharp knife in order to be able to cut the water melone, bread etc. - quite dirty neighbourhood, but it is rather a general problem on Sicily - no dishwasher - laundry dryer on balcony had limited capacity - it was enough for 2 ppl, but when apartment is fully occupied, it might not be enough - balcony was directly on the street, so we did not use it very much as the apartment was on the ground floor
