WOW, the perfect lakefront home--SUNSHINE COVE--resort-like with breathtaking lake views/lake access. Just steps to the water and amazing entertaining boathouse w/ deep water! Perfect for multi-family stays. 5 bedroom/4 full bath house (sleeps MAX 12) has all the amenities!

Private cove: Safe for kids swimming and jumping in the lake. 10 ft+!
Easy open water access: Less than 200 yards to open water.
Easy access: Just 30 steps to the lake and amazing covered dock and private sand beach. Shallow entry area perfect for little ones.
Dock your own watercraft here. We have dock cleats.
Public side: Access to gas, shopping, dining, etc. by boat (and car).
Amazing boat house that includes a covered lounge with bar, full size fridge, WiFi, TV, music and relaxing outdoor furniture. Dock ladder in water for easy in/out of the lake.
Non-motorized watercraft included! Guests can enjoy the included 2 stand-up paddleboards (SUP) or 4 kayaks (2 adult and 2 children's) or 3-person canoe.
Fish right off the dock: Bass, catfish, sunfish, blue gill, etc.
Plenty of outdoor space: screened-in porch with full dining set, a large deck with full dining set and large 2-zone gas grill overlooks the patio; remote-controlled sunsetter awning, lower level patio with covered area & outdoor firepit - perfect for roasting s'mores, and the front porch lounge to enjoy perfect sunsets.

Richmond/Charlottesville: 45-60 minutes.
Close to DCA, IAD, RIC airports.
Close to restaurants, shopping, wineries, breweries, cideries and other activities around the lake. Kings Dominion amusement park approx. 40 minutes away.

Summer rentals are weekly FRIDAY to FRIDAY (required 7 nights). We have loved this option when vacationing ourselves - less traffic and a full weekend back at home after/before a great vacation.
Special Rates:
Memorial Day / Labor Day weekend - 3 night min.
Winter Holidays: Thanksgiving, XMAS, New Years - 4 night min.
REQUIRED: We require a copy of primary renter's drivers license, as well as the names and ages of guests staying in our home. Must be at least 25 to rent, no exceptions.

We live the house and the configuration of the bedrooms works great for all of us. This was our second year with this house and we’re looking forward to staying again next year. Love the boathouse and outdoor spaces

Just what we needed. Wonder relaxing vacation, with great accommodations and plenty to do. We've already booked for next year.

Check in was floor less. The kitchen was extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need.

Property is well equipped for time on the lake and hosting meals at home. We had some issues with the property regarding cleanliness, broken toilet and some minor broken items. Owner was responsive to all. Based on other places we rented, we found the rules extensive and be prepared for the owner to remind you multiple times of the rules before and during your stay. Also be prepared to give personal details of your guests, to make your own beds, clean the floors, pack all linens and towels for the cleaners and coordinate directly with housecleaner. For us, it took away from the holiday experience.
