The property has an incredible view of the area. It’s high up just slightly out of the main town. It’s so quiet and peaceful but there is also a lot going on if you want it - there is a wellness centre with a massage, yoga studio. Massage is highly recommended. An infinity pool overlooking the hill top. We had dinner at the villa in the evening - curries and rice. Superb. It’s a team effort at Villa Rosa. The owners are supported by a brilliant team of staff that are treated like extended family. We were taken along to the market by one of the team and shown around while he did the daily shop. Everything is done to make you feel as welcome as possible. And not to forget the two resident doggies, they were the sweetest !

Villa Rosa is an exceptional boutique hotel. We stayed in the main building (honeymoon suite) and couldn’t have imagined a better stay. The staff were so attentive, kind and genuine, we felt very well looked after. The hotel also looks after two well behaved dogs (who are not the dogs you might occasionally hear barking at night). The breakfast was delicious, and dinner was very tasty. We would highly recommend setting aside an afternoon or morning to relax at the hotel as this place deserves to be enjoyed. It is quiet and away from the bustling city of Kandy - it’s up a steep hill and also means it’s not walkable distance. This wasn’t an issue at all for us and hotel has a complementary tuktuk service to the city, which we appreciated. Overall, a perfect stay, highly recommend!
