About this house rental
The main floor consists of a kitchen, dining/living area, a bedroom, and a bath as well as deck access, with great forest mountain views! The kitchen is modern with granite counter tops, knotty alder cabinets. The living room has a leather sectional, propane fireplace and a 47 inch flat screen HDTV/DVD, Starlink internet with WIFi. The dining area has a table and six chairs (expandable with a leaf and fold out chairs) and two counter bar stools, The main floor bedroom has a Cal King bed. The deck is 200 square feet.
A gas grill and outdoor dining table are provided in the spring, summer, and fall. The lower floor has two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a twin/full bunk bed, a second bathroom and a second living/TV room with a 32-inch flat screen TV with standard definition (great for the kids!). This second living TV room has a very comfortable futon. There are 3 parking spots all year long.
Do you have internet access at any of your home properties? Yes but very limited! Only a few of our home properties have recently been able to receive Internet access. Due to our remote location, and the fact that most of our properties are surrounded by tall Yosemite pine and cedar trees, it makes it almost impossible to receive clear satellite signals, nor cable available yet in our community. The system we currently have is a satellite-based Internet system and is vulnerable to adverse weather conditions, therefore we cannot guarantee Internet connectivity during your stay or reliability for video calling and video streaming.

The property was clean and adequate. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay one night of the two nights we paid for due to the snow storm that came our way. I didn't have chains, and couldn't risk getting stuck on the narrow, curvy roads! The only problem we had of the 12 hours we were there was that the circuit breakers tripped. First downstairs, and then upstairs in the bedroom. The outlets did not work, so no lamp and had to charge phone and computer in the main living room. Also, wifi and satellite tv was pretty weak and intermittent.

The property was clean and of an ideal size for a family of 4. The fact that it is located within the Yosemite National Park saves a lot of time when going to visit the Valley or going to Badger Pass Ski (15 minutes drive for both unless snowy). An advantage of the property is that the parking is at the same level as the main entrance. May seem like a little thing, but when it snows and it becomes icy, you can see the advantage over the neighbour's houses. There were warnings on the effectiveness of the Satellite Internet access but I must say that it was acceptable, only when it snowed would the connectivity be broken, on sunny, non-windy, days it was good for e-mail and reading news. Bring all the food, and drinks, you need for your stay as the closest stores or restaurants are either in Wawona or at the Yosemite Valley Centre.

The property was adequate for our needs. Communication with onsite manager was smooth.
Two points - this property was a duplex, which was not disclosed. Also, though I asked specifically about construction in the neighborhood, I was not told that a new home was being built next door to the property. This detracted from the peaceful getaway we had planned.
