From the moment you enter Villa de Vientos, you will fall in love with the light, airy, tiled spaces and hand crafted finishes. This Villa is located in the charming fishing village of Bucerias, just one block from one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico.
Nestled into a peaceful bougainvillea-lined residential neighborhood, this custom designed home combines traditional Mexican architecture with unique artistic finishes and appointments. Brightly painted hand-crafted gates open into a dramatic two-story entry leading into a spacious living area with fully equipped kitchen and separate dining area. A private bedroom/study with king sized bed is situated just off the living room with a separate entrance to the garden and an adjacent bathroom.
Beyond sliding glass doors, a large landscaped deck, yard, and pool surrounded by lush tropical vegetation provide a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallarta.
Leading to the second story, a curved stair rises to a spacious common entertainment area surrounded by three uniquely appointed bedrooms, each with king bed and en suite tiled bathroom, one with an enclosed outdoor shower. The property is spacious and lovely. The location is ideal - close to the town and the beautiful beach. The only suggestions I have is to provide better beach towels (they were very thin and worn) and maybe upgrade some of the kitchen small appliances.

“He would be a fun grandpa!” was the comment of one of my kids as we drove away. Jorge offered the warmest welcome to Mexico and our family was sad to leave this home.
A lovely stay with homemade meals, massages on the beach, afternoon dips in the pool, and sunset boogie boarding in the ocean. This home is spacious, well-stocked (so nice to be able to grill and do a load of laundry) and is a breezy stroll to the nearby beach. My family is already asking to return! Well done!

This is a lovely home with very nice staff, and is within walking distance from the beach.
However, there is ongoing building within feet of the property from 7AM to 7PM every day. A constant barrage of cement trucks, loud music, hammering and yelling makes it almost impossible to be outside during daylight hours.
I would recommend this property only to people who plan to be gone all day, every day.

Villa De Vientos was a nice clean home but is showing it's wear and tear. Holes in curtains, chipped soap dishes, pool lights don't work. The description says there is an ocean view from the upstairs rooftop but it was not visible to us. Perhaps the vegetation is now blocking it. Jorge was great and very responsive and Teresa did a great job cleaning on Tuesday.
One thing to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning. I guess I made the assumption that the bedrooms would have air because every place we have stayed in Bucerias did. My mistake. The fans do a good job of keeping the air moving and it did cool off at night but there were a couple of nights where it was a bit warmer that made sleeping uncomfortable.
The other thing to be aware of it that the bedroom doors are made from textured glass so people can see into your room if you want privacy in the bedroom.
