Charming home from home accommodation with friendly hosts in a great location

It was a lovely stay with comfortable beds and pleasant owners who were friendly and accommodating.

Paul greeted us as soon as we arrived and handed over the key to the property, which was a nice touch. He was very polite and nothing was too much trouble. The property was pleasant with two nice sized bedrooms a kitchenette and a small sofa and tv. It was warm and very clean. There was milk in the fridge and coffee and tea sachets for us to use.

I can't really fault it as it had everything we needed. The parking was a bit of a tight squeeze but not a problem at all.

Lovely hosts, comfortable, clean accommodation, nice area and great value for money. It was a perfect base after a busy day at Alton Towers.

Happy, Clean, Cosy and Cute

Everything! All of the cottages were so clean and cosy. The little touches such as the shower gel and shampoo in the bathrooms, the oil for cooking, washing up liquid and little jug of milk in the kitchen were fantastic. As someone who cannot have caffeine it was refreshing to see decaf teabags provided as well as decaf coffee. The books and teddies in the children's rooms were thoughtful and the beds in all rooms were very comfy. We will definitely be booking again for next year, for our next Alton Towers trip. Only a 30 min drive. We would recommend the Tutbury Grill for takeaway if you were looking for one. Overall a very good stay had by all!

Beautiful scenery on the cottages doorstep and very handy for the village about half a mile away. The cottage itself is lovely with all mod cons set in a lovely and peaceful place. Run by a lovely family. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay 30 min from Alton Towers

Really clean and fully equipped with everything we needed for a stay following a day at Alton Towers. Location was excellent just a short walk from local shops and restaurants. Checking in and out was smooth with use of a key safe.

Perfect stay!

The property was everything we needed. It was well equipped and the hosts thought of everything. It was very comfortable and we all enjoyed our stay. My kid's loved their room - especially the books and fox teddy which was very thoughtful!

Great Location, great stay!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning. Paul & Vanessa are amazing hosts, both took time out to ask me about my course that I was taking locally. Spectacular views from the cottage - made doing my course work even more enjoyable. Free parking on site. Kitchen was equipped with everything you needed. Bathroom a decent size and most of all.. I had the best night sleep, so peaceful. Thanks again Paul & Vanessa.

Perfect location, clean, beautiful views

This little cottage was stunning, we stayed for 1 night before the trip to Alton Towers which is only 30 mins away from the cottage! The views were beautiful, the location was perfect! Easy check in and check out, hassle free! The cottage was spotless and we had all that we needed for the stay! I would highly recommend this place!

Maybe a smart tv that you can connect to, but it wasn’t essential as we still had a lovely time!

Very friendly owners who were very welcoming and polite after a long drive. Had everything we needed for the stay and a great location

Our children said the bunk bed was a little bit squeaky so woke them up in the night as they moved. However, this didn't impact our overall stay and we'd definitely consider booking again

Shower water went cold quickly. Less than 1 shower Kitchen stuff a bit odd and more challenging to find that it should be in 3 cupboards. Key safe are not good with real finger nails

Lovely stay

We stayed over the night before work so didn't stay long but the place was so lovely and quaint. Will definitely stay again when in the area. The place was very clean, small but had everything we needed for one night stay. The place had a double bed and another room had 2 single bunk beds. Good shower, fridge and milk on arrival. Thank you so much.

Just a stunning cottage, that is always spotlessly clean. The owners are super helpful. Beds are comfy, always milk in the fridge, It's very peaceful overnight, so it's a good night's sleep. Highly recommend

The owners, they are both so welcoming and the cottages are presented at a very high standard. I stayed in number 1, closet to the road and it's a busy road but inside the cottages you can't hear a thing. The beds a comfy, kitchen area is well equipped. Cant fault them at all.
